Question Marker clubs?

Those of you that are involved in marker clubs - how do they work? How often do you meet? What projects do you do? How much are you required to spend? And I guess you buy the markers? I'm just curious about this. It sounds fun!

The one I heard about was a marker/cardstock club. The club would buy the full marker set and all the 8.5" x 11" assortments each month. That way everyone gets the marker holder. I think it was in the $40 range each month. You'd get one color set of markers and the same assortment of papers. This way you'd also get to be a hostess once and get the bennies from that too.

In my group we meet once a month. There are four in the group, and we meet four times. Each member is required to order 1/4 of a marker set for $30 and a pack of 12x12 assorted paper for $7.95. Depending on the project(s) we do, there may be a $1-3 fee, but most months I don't charge. Each person in the group gets the chance to be hostess and receives the benefits. HTH Diana

That is how mine worked also except that the hostess also got a pack of white cardstock the month they were the hostess, I think that is what got it to the $150 mark. One person got the benefits each month and everyone got one set of the markers and the coordinating paper, we got the marker holder at the end of the 4 month period so that there was not a problem of anyone dropping out since you can't get the holder otherwise. We never met though we just all placed the order on a certain date every month, if one of us wanted to have a party also to up our benefits then we could do that.
