I just received a CHristmas card that had an image stamped (maybe versamark?) and then covered with glitter, but most of the glitter had come off of half of the image. There was glitter everywhere after I opened it up.
It makes me wonder how many cards I have sent that have arrived at their destination in disrepair.
Has anyone else received cards that have fallen apart or disintegrated through the mail?
Versamark is not an adhesive - it is a slow drying ink - not a never drying ink. Glitter will only stick to it when it's wet (or until you emboss it). I've had a few customers think the same thing - somewhere, sometime, someone must have said publicly that Versamark will hold glitter. This issue seems to keep creeping up. Strange . . .
I recieved a card yesterday that had a button on it and the button had worn it's way through the envelope, but luckily, it was still stuck on the card and had no damage

mmmmmm...... never thought about lumpy embellishments wearing thru the enve but I did add a 1/4 piece of c/s (some inexpensive white I have) in the enve betwix the card front & enve so it would go thru the postal sorting machine without a problem. Does a 2-4-1.

I put tape on my envelopes over brads or eyelets or anything I think might rip the envelope or poke through.
so does that mean that pearl ex affixed with just versamark will come off by the time it reaches its recipient? I have a sinking feeling now.
