Default Make Your Own Markers

The thread about making your own spots for the new colors got me to thinking and digging around and I found these on a website.

http://www.dharmatrading.com/html/en...av=fabric.html

The have two tip styles of pens and also markers. Anybody ever tried these? I am just wondering how they would work with ink refills if at all.

There is also a blog somewhere (someone help me out here) that shows how to use blender pens and reinkers to get the same effect. She also showed how to dye ribbon with water and reinkers. Let me see if I can find a link....

See if that works.

Annetta, I tried these years ago when the first came out and HATED them. I know, strong words. Maybe it was because I had such high hopes for them. But I found that the points got wrecked really easy, making them useless quickly. Maybe they've improved them since then, but I'd have to try one before buying them again. I'm going to stick with blender pens with reinkers.

I have those foam ones and they are worthless!!!!
I agree with Betsy---- the way to go is the reinkers and blender pens. Just buy a set of blender pens just for the In Colors and you don't have to worry about getting all the ink off after dipping it in the reinker.

Blender pens are the best anyway! I use them for everything, Chalks, Watercolor Pencils, crayons and with ink for watercoloing! I also use them to color in like markers. One of my Favorite tools!

Yup that's my blog. I used the blender pens and re-inkers (HAS to be re-inkers b/c you can't get enough ink just by squishing the pads together) and it worked great!

DEFINITELY agree with Amy. You get a whole different look if you watercolor from the pad...much more watered down color.
