I like the stamp but not enough to make it one of my top choices. Using a piece of scrap rubber from Home Depot (plumbing dept.) I cut out a single petal and mounted on EZ Mount. Voila! Just stamp repeatedly in a circle and you've got it!!!!!!!
My camera is on a trip with my son and our scanner is broken! Will post one when I can find a way to do it. I have a piece of left over background stamp (much like flannel) and I am going to cut out a petal like that too. Too much fun!
I am having fun making those petals out of all kinds of things and getting lots of cool textures! I ran an old cheese grater over some rubber and got the greatest texture!
I got a Cricut for Christmas and the cartridge that comes with it makes a flower that's perfect. It looks to me like the big blossom flower. I made it today on size 3 (or 4) and put it on the card I made.

Great idea! A little "add on" idea might be to use a good dremel tool for sanding the edges. I use my dremel for an unreal amount of things, and I believe it would work very well for this purpose.

You can buy different thicknesses at Home Depot and they all seem to work just fine. I used 3/16" for this one because it was just what was on top of the pile.
TFS, Housefan! I love enablers that don't make me spend $$$ ;). I'm so tickled that CASEing is allowed/encouraged here. I have some of that fun foam stuff.. and old mouse pads.. I think I'll play around w/ it tomorrow! Please post a pic when you can!
Great flower, Garnet! I love the single petal on the tag.. and that the tag is attached to the big flower!

I just now made a second one of these and punched it full of tiny holes with a tiny hole punch and now I can have a polka dotted big blossom! People are emailing asking where I get the rubber. It comes in varying thicknesses at Home Depot in the plumbing department. I run the thinnest rubber through my Cuttlebug with my dies to make additional stamps in the die cut shapes too.
My Home Depot (plumbing dept) had only 1 thickness. Around $2.50 for 2 shts in pkg - 6"x6"x3/32" made by PlumbShop, Novi, MI. Pkg states its Gasket Rubber for making gaskets and washers. Since I found this and don't have CB, I haven't checked at Lowes for thinner rubba.

What a great idea GarnetJ and lovely samples ladies! I've been very tempted by the Big Blossom stamp but now I can avoid getting it thanks to you! Thanks for sharing the idea and samples.

I may have to visit this PlumbShop in Novi and see what they have It's about two mile from my house.
Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.
I actually like using the really thick rubber for making shape stamps. You may need to sand it though. There is a less shiny side that works better, but I get amazingly good impressions with the stuff!
