louisville, KY stores???
Hello group!
Anyone here able to recommend any stamp/scrap/paper stores in the Louisville, KY area? I will be there in a couple weeks and would love it if I could visit someplace fun while I'm there.
Thanks!
Rachel V.

thanks for
Thanks for the replies! I think we are going through Frankfort, so I'll get a map for that one. Saw the Archivers listed online so I'll map that one too.
Thanks for your help! My list of things to do in the area just keeps growing....

Archivers is the only one I'm aware of besides the typical Hobby Lobby and Michaels. We do have a new one in New Albany (just across the river in Indiana) called Lavender Sentiments. I haven't been there yet, but from an article in the paper recently, they offer scrapbooking and card making supplies as well as pampering their shoppers by offering lotions, teas, candles and diffusers. Thought I would check it out one day this week.
I haven't heard about Lavendar Sentiments! Sounds interesting. It seems like alll the LSS's in Louisville have closed. There is also Dee's Crafts whih is on Shelbyville Road, right down from Oxmoor Mall where Archiver's is located. Dee's has all sorts of craft item besides scrapbooking, beads, silk flowers etc. You might enjoy it. What's bring you all to Louisville?? If you are here on March 24th, I having a scrapbook crop fundraiser for my PTO at my kids school in St. Matthews! You can also come by & visit!!

There is also a new store up around the Hamburg, IN exit on 65 N. It hasn't been there but maybe a few months. Haven't visited that one either, but it is on my list. It's worth it to me to drive over to the East End to go to Archivers or I stop in there when I need to go over to that area of Louisville.

thanks again
Thanks again everyone!
My husband and I are heading to Louisville near the end of the month because :
-we need a get-away before the baby arrives!
-he wants to check out steamboat/river traffic stuff for his job. He is working on fundraising to restore a 1918 steamboat located here in Marietta and we are always learning more about that 'stuff'
-we are teaching a Museum Studies class in the fall and want to add to our 'collection' of museums visited
But of course I want to shop at fun (papercrafting!) stores, eat at good restaurants, and take lots of pictures too!

I'll be moving to the Ft. Knox area in a few weeks. Our sojourn in Germany is almost over, and it's making me sad.
It's nice to find out there are so many lovely shopping opportunities waiting so near where we'll next call home!

My husband and daughter and I are just stopping overnight there on our way to WV. A mini vacation and he is checking into a job that he has been offered after he retires from the Army in a year. Just wanted to check out any scrapbook stores in the area, I've never been to an Archiver's, hope to be able to check it out. Thanks to everyone for all the info. Linda
Isn't there a stamp store, The Rubber Wizard or something like that, down the street from Oxmoor mall? And I think there's a LSS store, The Chocolate scrapbook or something like that? I'm going off of memory and it's been a while since I've been in Louisville.
Hey! Louisville is my home! My husband is in the military so we are currently living in AL. I only get to visit a couple of times a year to visit my family. :-( There is a nice scrapbook store in East Louisville called The Chocolate Scrapbook. Here is the info:
The Chocolate Scrapbook
9154 Taylorsville Rd.
Stony Brook Centre
Louisville, KY 40299
(502)491-4917
I haven't been there in about three years so I'm not sure how much stamping stuff they have. Have fun! ;)

The Chocolate Scrapbook closed this past November. Archivers, Hobby Lobby, Michaels and Dee's are the only Craft Stores that I am aware of in Louisville.
I'm sorry to hear the Chocolate Scrapbook closed!
This Sunday I'll be at the Harry Connick, Jr. concert & will be hitting Archiver's! Woo Hoo!!! Please have some new Basic Grey papers!
Is there a place called Paper Station, Scrapbook Station, something like that?
Enjoy your time in Louisville!

I visited the new one, Lavender Sentiments, on Charlestown Road in New Albany yesterday. Real easy to get too off I65 if you take the Lee Hamilton Highway around to New Albany. Nice store, not many stamps or metal embellishments yet, but the owner is still stocking and is quite interested in what her customers might want. Lots of tools, paper and scrap related stickers. I think with some time, this might be a nice little store.
Scrapbook Station also closed early last year. I think due to illness in the owner's family. Sorry it closed, I work just 1 block from where they used to be.
