Most people from Baton Rouge and New Orleans have never heard of Paulina, but you have probably heard of Gramercy. Paulina is just 3 or 4 minutes from Gramercy. Thanks for repling
I don't live in Louisiana but my mother and her family are all from there! I've been there many times. She is from Mamou...and is pure cajun. She speaks the cajun french...and unfortunately I don't. I recently bought CD's to try to learn the language. I know a few words that my mother used to say all the time. I love the cajun culture and the music! I haven't been to Louisiana since I was a little girl but would love to go back sometime. Maybe we will have to plan a trip. So glad to see some people from there!
Don't guess I'm full blooded cajun. I am breed of Northern and Southern Louisiana (they are like two different worlds). On the question of a upline, not hip on all the lingo, does this mean do I have a stamp demonstrator?
I'm from Metairie. I'm a SU demo, and I'd love to get together sometime and scrap or stamp. Send me your e-mail address and I'll send you my e-mail promotions, etc. Would you be interested ? Send me an e-mail at [email protected] and we can make some plans, if you'd like.
I'm from New Orleans and as you can see I've been lurking for quite some time......figured now was a good time to start posting! I'm also a SU! demo....actually in the same downline as Kris. Hello Kris!
I have a customer that lives in Destrahan, Louisiana that is looking for someone that would not mind her attending thier workshops. Anyone down there interested???
I live in Covington, just across the causeway. Lucky me! Moved here two years ago from Oregon. I just became a demo almost a month ago. Wow, time flies when you're having fun. Having my first open house on Tuesday
Sorry, too. I thought you were a demonstrator - I thought I read your post in the demo forum. An upline for a demonstrator would be the person you signed up under (or even who she signed up under).
Hi, Wendy! <waving> Have you posted any of your fabulous cards on this site?
Ariel, you are right in saying that Louisiana is like two different places! It may even be like more! You have New Orleans, which is a whole 'nuther country! You have Cajun Country like around Mamou and Lafayette, you have North Louisiana, then there's everywhere else - like Baton Rouge!
I lived outside of Louisiana for 3 years and I can attest that the food here is like no other place in the world! Now the weather I could do without!
I would definitely love to meet your friend. I'm really trying to build up my business and I love to talk to her. Please pass my e-mail address to her, or give me her name and phone number and I'll be glad to call her. She can contact me at [email protected], or call me at 504-456-2477. (Hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by posting this). I'll check this post again tomorrow.
Hi, New Orleans Stamper. Sorry, I'm not sure which dowline you are, but hello anyway.

Hi, New Orleans Stamper. Sorry, I'm not sure which dowline you are, but hello anyway.
I'm not there now but did live in Sulphur for 3 years back in the mid-90's. We absolutely loved it, and although I doubt we will ever live there again, would love to go back to visit.
I'm also in the Baton Rouge group. My "real job" & other home business keeps me very busy, so at the present time, I'm more of a hobby demo ~ only doing bi-monthly stamp classes in my house. I've been a demo for I think 4 years, but been friends with my upline for longer. We actually met because I emailed the company looking for a local demo back in early 1999.
And I'm VERY familiar with Paulina. I just did a new subdivision appraisal down there last summer.
I'm originally from Ruston and all my family is still in the Ruston - West Monroe area. I'm desparately trying to get my husband to move back up there. My son wants to go to Tech after he graduates, but wants us to move there so he can have somewhere to eat (??? ~ that's what he says). For the next few months, I'll be going up there at least every other weekend because my parents have a daylily nursery in Choudrant that I help them out with ~ very sweaty work, but lots of fun.
Hey, Catherine ~ I'd love to meet you sometime when I'm up there!!! Just email me at [email protected] sometime.

I grew up on the West Bank. I married a Navy guy and we moved all over but am so glad to be back in the New Olreans area. We live in Covington now and LOVE IT.
I have not found many people that stamp sense I moved back so if anyone in the area wants to get together let me know.
I've lived in both countries, oops, I mean parts of the state. In the north, I lived many years in S'port. In the south, I lived in Cut Off for awhile (as well Metarie and Baton Rouge, but those names are nearly as colorful, LOL). My first husband was a Cajun (am I allowed to say the C-A name? He was proud of the latter nomenclature); he was from Houma. Our last name was Dugas. I always told him that we should get a great dane and name it Scooby, so the dog could be Scooby Dugas - get it?
LOLOL Oh well, I thought I was funny;0) He was just grateful no one had thought of that while he was in high school!
Sometimes I really miss it. I've been a lot of places and never seen anywhere that the sunsets beat those over the gulf and wetlands of S. LA.
I am in Baton Rouge and have not found anyone selling Stampin Up. I actually buy a lot of their products at a monthly Scrapbook Store garage sale. I wish I could find more people in BR that enjoy stamping like I do. Love this site!
I'm from New Orleans (Lakeview). Lived there until I got married and moved overseas. Now I live in Colorado but my family still lives in Louisiana but most lost their homes in Katrina and now live around Baton Rouge. I haven't been back since Katrina but will be there this summer.
I'm in Destrehan - just west of New Orleans - about 5 miles from the airport. I am a Demo, but mostly hobby since I have not found too many people around here that enjoy stamping! Send me a pm if you are looking for a local person
