I've been feeling the same way the last few days. Don't know where it is but I'm hoping it's having drinks somewhere with yours. If someone sees my mojo hanging with Bagpuss' mojo, please return it to me ASAP. If my mojo is outside of Canada, please mark the customs tag as a gift and don't put a value of more than $60 CAD on the slip or I'll have to pay HST!
Okay, here's what I do when I lose my Mojo! LOL! I make a whole bunch of tiny things to use later. For example, I used my little word stamps and stamped a bunch of little tags and tied ribbon on them. Just plain ones that said Happy Birthday, For You, etc... I put them in a little box and now, when my Mojo is strong, I have these little parts all ready to go!
Sometimes just organizing your stamping space helps. Sometimes you mojo is hiding under the clutter.
Hey, I actually thought of selling everything during a down mojo period. That would have been really scarey!!!
Hey, we all get sidetracked!
Good luck...It will return!

Hmmm... perhaps there's some big mojo convention somewhere and they've all gone to that? It must be a long way away because mine's been gone for several weeks. :(
I like the idea of the "little things", GinaK. Sounds like it might work. I'm going to try to tempt my mojo back tomorrow by making a Christmas card.
I agree with Gina! I did some organizing last night. I haven't stamped anything in weeks. Once I was done I finished an altered journal, two birthday cards and two thank you cards. Hoping to get some more done tonight!
Sometimes, If I loose my Mojo, I search the gallery or read blogs and then I start to think, hey, I wanna' play too! It helps me.
But don't worry, everything in life ebbs and flows.

Oh I am so sorry, my mojo ran away for an entire year but has come back recently and was very repentant of its running away. I hope your mojos come back soon.
I know how you feel. I lose mine whenever I spend too much time looking at fabulous cards! Instead of inspiring me, I feel inadequate. So silly. Step away from the computer. Step away from all stamping related things for one week. Then see what happens!!

How is this possible? I'm just getting started, been stamping only a few months now, and it still takes me ALL NIGHT to make a card. Will this get better??? HELP!!

Yes, it will get better.
I used to take forever because I thought it had to be perfect. Then, one night, I had like 5 minutes to make a card. I did something really simple that I thought was so-so but fast and I got more compliments on that darn card then all the others combined. Now, I don't worry because you never really know what others will like so I just try stuff! Clear as mud?
No stress- just fun!

Hahahaha!!!
I *totally* love (and get!) your comment!!
Forgot to say that, when my mojo left, it took my inclination, too. :( I have all my stuff out to make a Christmas card - I have a fantastic design, thanks to SweetMissDaisy, and a beautiful colour scheme, thanks to the SU catalogue.... but I'm still sitting here and can't be bothered.
I go through this funk every once in awhile. Sometimes for MONTHS. The last time was this past year. (Yes, year.) We got married a year ago and it felt weird to go hang out in my stamping room. When we were dating/engaged, we only saw each other on the weekends because we lived almost two hours apart. I had plenty of time to stamp during the week. I've been working from home since we got married and I am starved for human interaction. (My dogs and cat don't really talk back much so it makes for a lot of one-side conversations.)
I've found this site to be so inspirational to me (and I renewed my Rubberstamper subscription last year). I love going to the galleries to see what others have done.
You know what, Kimberly? I've noticed that my mojo left when my DBF moved in. I mean sometimes I get a spark of creativity or helps with something....but usually...nothing. So I know what you mean!
I usually clean up my work space and organize. Then I cruise magazines and the gallery. That usually inspires me. Not everything is a piece of art, but it can be if you keep playing. Just have fun with it. Try a new technique. Break out something you haven't played with in a while (Pearlex, embossing powders, pastel chalks, paper piercer, tearing edge). Even try an old set you used to love. I have a bad habit of playing with the new and then putting away. The sets you have always loved are just as good a the new ones. Break them out! Have fun!

Must be contagious, cause my mojo's vanished recently, too. I'm trying case-ing cards to get it back, but so far only a little bit's been tempted to come home. Most of it's still out there somewhere...
yup - I'm feeling a little like that lately too! I just uploaded a card and then deleted it! That never happens with me! I too have been scoping cards to case in magazines, SCS, etc...hope no one minds! Some days I feel great about my cards and others, not so much!! I have lots of ideas, I either just don't have the time to spend or the finished product doesn't come out looking like what was in my noggin! My birthday is coming up, maybe I will take the day off and stamp all day!!!
I always make a U suck card to send to myself...
It makes me feel better!
and then I have one on hand to make enduring mean people easier...I just imagine them opening a card from my stash!
Or you could make a card to a mean person...
Count Dracula,
U Suck
Worst regards,
me
If nothing else it would make you laugh.

This is more serious than I thought - when I refer to my mojo, it covers stamping, scrapping and even TRYING to stamp and scrap! It's not like I get all my stuff out and make terrible cards... I just can't be bothered to get my stuff out at all.
Forced myself this morning - made quite a pleasant Christmas card - but it didn't leave me keen to make another one. :(
I lost my mojo recently and what really helped me was doing the SCS challenges. They sort of give you a kick-start. I bet if you complete all of the challenges in one week your MOJO will return.

Do you guys stamp with a buddy. I think that would make me get my mojo back real fast. Tonight I was scrappin some pics I took at a scrap convention last year, they made me laugh out loud because I was remembering the silly, fun time we had, can't wait til Nov when the next one is. Or get someone to mail cards to and it doesn't have to be anyone you know, sometimes its better if you don't know them. Just some thoughts.
