Does anyone else lose layers, ribbon, adhesive, etc. right smack in the middle of making a card?? Or, am I just losing my mind too? I swear I'm in the middle of creating something and I've lost the ink pad, or the glue gun is downstairs, or I've answered the phone and the inked stamp is now somehow in the kitchen!! Yesterday, I spent 30 minutes looking for die cuts I had just made with my Cricut. Couldn't find them. My husband found them with his laundry -- in the kitchen!! LOL
Am I the only one this happens to?

Are you kidding or what??? You must be having a camera in my stamping area........cuz you are describing me to a T....
by the way..............where is my stamping area??? LOL......just kidding but I do lose alot............I'm always asking my dd or dh......where is this or that or did you take my tape or sissors???
they already think I'm losing my mind...................oh that's where it went!
I'm always loosing my scissors. They always turn up in a place that I could've swore I had searched. It is the stampin elves. Always playing tricks on us busy stampers! ;)
I had a versamark pad disappear into thin air right before a class I was teaching... so I ran to Michael's and bought a replacement (paid more than they are in the SU catalogue!). Then about a week later it re-appeared. It was hiding under the desk.
I always lose my cutter. I say to myself keep it on the left side of you so you don't lose it, I go to cut and can't find it. I end up piling things on top of it. I even put containers in the middle of my table, one for measuring tools, one for writing, one for brushes and aqua painters. Still doesn't work. I have labels on things and still lose them. Glad to know I'm not alone.
Yes, yes , yes!!! I lose stuff often. Sometimes, over the weekend, it might have to do with the beverages I am having while stamping but it happens all the time anyway. It really makes you wonder a little bit!

I just spent 20 minutes looking for my Linen BG stamp. Had just used it not 10 minutes before. Finally found it in the bathroom on the side of the tub? Still haven't figured that one out! Mkaes me wonder about my self.

That happens to me, too, Joan! I "lost" my paper snips, but found them later in the trash beneath my table. Good thing it was just full of paper scraps!!! ;)
good grief, that reminds me that I ordered a pair of paper snips and I don't think I've ever laid eyes on them? Did I order them from Starlitstudio or from SU??? Ha ha, I'm not alone!! Yeah.

It's usually the image I just took hours to do (I'm a slow-poke). I'll be ready to mount it on the card front and POOF! gone! Well, I haven't moved from the table, I don't think...can't remember....so where could it be? Sometimes I find them flipped upside down under the table, or over on the computer desk. Sheesh!
LOL! I drive myself absolutely insane with this "losing things" problem! It probably wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't so messy when I stamp. Oh well, that's certainly not going to change.

lol I do this all the time. I've learned to make sure I look under all the papers that are scattered around my work area. Nine times out of ten what I'm looking for is beneath paper.
All of the above apply to me. Well, I guess I have not found a lost treasure in the fridge (yet) - that is where dh hides things!
I did hear a good line: You know you are getting older when you can hide your own Easter eggs. Only for me it is stamping stuff - invariably the item I absolutely need right now has taken off for parts unknown.
The other evening I painted an HA silly angel image with H20s - set it to one side to dry. Sat down to make the actual card last night and it's vanished. And my desk is actually tidy for once at the moment so I have no idea where it's gone .....
I spend more time looking for things than I do actual stamping!! NSR, last week I was all ready to go out & do a bunch of errands but I couldn't find my purse. I searched everywhere! I even called my husband at work to ask him if he had seen my purse. I was getting a little upset. Then, I realized I was carrying my purse around on my shoulder the whole time I was looking for it!!!!! Yikes, I'm going crazy!!!

This is just about the funniest post I have seen in a while! I love it.
that last one about the purse - - - ha ha ha ha! I did that a few months ago with my sunglasses at a party. They were on top of my head. The funny thing is people were like, "Oh what are you looking for?" When I told them my sunglasses they started looking around too. So they didn't even notice they were right there on top of my head.
I spend the better part of an hour looking for a stamp set and then ask my DBF to help me find it...and the durn thing is already laying on my work pad waiting to be used....
Happens to me too. Usually I find it stuck somewhere on my body when I go to take a shower because I get as much adhesive stuck to me as I do on the card. BUT I did see my adorbale little baby kitty snag my stuff off the edge of the table so I have an idea where some of my stuff goes. And he has the gall to look at me like he's completely innocent.
This is ME! I am forever losing things. My stamp stuff is scattered around the house, and my "stamping room" is a corner of the dining room table. Things disappear all the time--and I go nuts trying to find them!
Glad to know it is not just me!
Whew! Now this post makes me feel normal! I lose stuff all the time. I'll set it down and then go to pick it up and... it's GONE! Granted, I can blame some of this on my cat -- she's a thief. But usually I'm the one who's left it somewhere else.

You've just described my life ... I'm always losing stuff, while stamping and even at work ... I try to keep the spaces neat, but I usually end up with piles everywhere and what I want is hiding under them.
Happens to me all the time! Then I waste 10 minutes looking all over for the small little punchie rather than just punch it again. Sometimes when I get undressed at night those sneaky lost items are found!
Ok, this weekend I am going to clean up my stamp room. I spend so much time looking for stuff I don't get a chance to stamp! Of course, if I wouldn't rearrange stuff, I might find it faster (go figure). I was looking for some wax the other day to make a card someone ordered and I always kept it in a certain drawer. Was it there? NOOOOOOO! I have "cleaned" up and rearranged. Now I can't find it!
A happy desk is a messy desk and mine is deliriously happy! The only thing I don't lose is my cutter because it is a huge thing (guillotine type) and it stays in one place, although I do have to move everything off it to use it! LOL! Glad I am not the only way. My DH says "If you would put everything back where it was after you're done you wouldn't have this problem". HA! Fat chance.

Wow, you are not alone on this one! My room is fairly organized but I still loose things on a regular basis, in fact I can actually have it in view and not find it!

No Joan, you're not the only one. I blame it on my two little guys sucking the brains right out of me or it could be that I'm just getting old.
I used my snips the other day and I couldn't find the lid to save my life. I found the lid two days later in my Pampered Chef tool turn around (where I keep all of my tools). I must have pulled the scissors out without the tip even on and didn't notice.
This is SO me! Isn't it frustrating?? It happens all the time to me, not just stamping and scrapping. But it does seem to be at it's worst when stamping ... drives me nuts. Oh wait, maybe I already AM nuts!
