Looking for similar to Rubber stamps from Ten Seconds Studio
After seeing the weekly tutorial from SCS a month ago in which some of their rubber stamps were used, I tried to locate an online retailer for Ten Seconds Studio to place an order from Australia.
After finding numerous dead links and only one online retailer willing to ship here (they charged ridiculously, excessive postage costs) I contacted the company for an updated list. That was a month ago and I have heard absolutely nothing  :-( from the company, although they do seem to have taken the UK links off the page....
I would love to find another retailer for this style of stamp, they are perfect for a project I have in mind.
If anyone has any suggestions for similar stamps I'd be very grateful.
The suggestion I have would be to contact Cheryl or Megan (the owners of Ten Seconds Studio) and I think you said you have already done that and you haven't heard back. I find items from their company on eBay from time to time. You might set up an eBay search so that you get an email notification when a seller puts up an item from TSS. Etsy sells stamps, too, so you might check there. I don't know what else to suggest.....

Thanks for your reply. I will definitely have to do the ebay search thing, I always forget that I can save it and get notification of new items.
I took classes in calligraphy before my last DS was born but never really mastered the techniques involved and TSS stamps seemed an excellent alternative to use with various backgrounds.
Thanks again.
What was the tutorial and what do the images look like? I'm pretty sure I've seen some TSS stuff in a Brisbane retail shop but TSS sell a range of things and don't know if the shop would have a full range of their stuff.
I don't follow the tutorials here but I'll see if I can find what you may have been looking at.
I'd be very interested if the store you mentioned has them! I have emailed a NZ store that carry some of the TSS range, but no stamps, in the hope that they might be able to get them.
I had a look at the stamps and I looked around to find a seller, but like you I got nothing. Plenty of tools and metal foils for sale but no stamps.
I know Photo Continental in My Gravatt, Brisbane sells some of their products, not sure about the stamps. Their website is dreadful and their search feature even worse, but a phone call would be more productive.
Now you mentioned you like that STYLE of stamp, which I'm assuming means the calligraphic styled quotes. Have you seen what Darkroom Door has to offer? They have some lovely quotes with the look of nice penwork. And they are an Australian company! If that is the style your after I may have a few more companyies in the recess of my mind that do sometihng similar. Let me know.
I was also about to say I've seen some TSS products at Photo Continental at Mt Gravatt. Perhaps if they place an order in future, they could order what you're specifically wanting, assuming it's not there already!

Thanks for the suggestion. I have a look for their website.

I have had a look at Darkroom Door's website and we have a few stockists locally so I will be visiting them in the next day or so. I tend not to look at rubber stamps as I have soooooo many and don't get round to cardmaking very often now, (an active almost 3 year old doesn't help, or rather, he does try to!) the TSS stamps were perfect enough to make an exception for!!
If you do think of any other companies that offer similar to TSS I'd be very interested.
Thanks

This is the reply I received to an email enquiring about the stamps....
We no longer deal with ten second studios and have never carried their stamp range. Unfortunately the only remaining items we have are some of the tools and design/shaping plates for use with metal.
Maybe I'm not the only one who dislikes how TSS operates....
Thanks for the suggestion anyway, was worth a try.
Darkroom Door stamps are lovely quality and you'd be flying the flag since they're Australian! If you find somewhere with older stock the stamps will be just rubber and they'll be in a metal DVD tin. Recently, they've switched to a plastic DVD case with the stamps on cling foam. With either style the stamps come as a single sheet so you'll need to do some cutting up.
The UK company Crafty Indivduals have quite a few calligraphic style stamps in their range (see here). I have no idea what their international shipping is like but they seem to have a good range of stockists in Australia so maybe worth looking at those if you see something you fancy (there's a link on the left of the page to "worldwide stockists"). Their stamps are rubber only.
Interestingly, both Darkroom Door and Crafty Individuals are partnerships between an artist/graphic designer and a photographer!
Quietfire Design here in Canada has a lot of calligraphic designed stamps...perhaps her international shipping is reasonable. Her stamps are wonderful and unmounted which makes for cheaper shipping. Hope this helps.
Another company that I have found has great "saying" stamps is Technique Tuesday. I'm not sure if they will sell overseas, but it's worth a look. HERE are the stamps... I especially like the Ali Edwards ones.

Thanks for this suggestion. They are lovely stamps! No problem getting them from the UK as the rest of my family are there and I can have them sent to them if necessary, but will check the local stockists first.

Thanks, lovely stamps, I can see that I'm never going to have any money and will have to get my card making stuff out again.....

The stamps here are absolutely perfect! Thanks for the suggestion. I see they sell calligraphy products too, would be far cheaper if I was better at calligraphy myself!

Reason: Edited to add: my shopping cart is very full!!
FatCatsCardCorner has a good online store that sells both Crafty Individuals and Darkroom Door stamps. Karen the owner has always been helpful to deal with.
