and getting frustrated. There are no craft stores close to where I live so I have to search online. I have about 10-12 SU sets and about 35-40 random stamps. It just seems they're all pretty similar and I don't have what I need when I go to make a card. I don't have many sentiment stamps either. I'm getting so frustrated and spending so much time looking for the right stamp and something I can afford. I spend more time looking for things than actually stamping and making cards. grrr!
Some specific stamps I'm looking for are a coffee/tea cup with a sentiment, trees or some sort of scenery, maybe some birds. I also like the "cutesy" stamps and have none of those.
So does anyone know of where I can find something like that at an affordable price so I can quit looking? lol I'm considering going with digi stamps because they're so much cheaper and I do have some that I downloaded. I just would rather have the actual stamp.
For trees, there's Stampin' Up!'s Lovely as a Tree set.
There's also this one by Flourishes: http://www.flourishes.org/servlet/th...uce-oak/Detail
($15.99, unknown shipping, but I think it's free shipping over $60)
ETA:
Okay, one more... for cutesy: http://hmstamps.com/Welcome.htm
(Penny Black...didn't know exactly what you meant by "cutesy"... but I think Penny Black stamps are cute)
Check out The Angel Company stamps, they come unmounted, so are very reasonable in price. Our Inspiration Avenue magalogue has some great tea and coffee sayings, and mug, spoon, etc. We have lots of cute stamps too. www.theangelcompany.net

What about the buy, sell, trade forum here on SCS. I've gotten some great sets at a great price. It's taken me four years to really build up my supply so I can create "almost" anything I want. I went through the same thing you are. I just didn't have the money to go wild. I only spent about $15.00 a month at my monthly Stampin Up workshop. I now spend about $30.00 to $50.00 a month but I'm done for awhile. I've gotten about five/six sets on e-bay, which isn't always cost effective but I was always very careful to not bid over about $15.00. I've gotten about three sets here on SCS. Very reasonable prices. I now have about 100 SU sets and some Penny Black, etc. I also have lots of supplies. Gina K has a coffee set I want and SU has one - Sip by Sip I want also. I love coffee sets too. I do want some sentiments from TAC, they are great. I'm a bit lacking in sentiments too.

Our Stamp line seems to fit your criteria. Good luck in your search and you've got to get some 'cutesy' stamps but I guess we all have our own definition of 'cutesy'.
I haven't found a single stamp shop where I live either (some scrapbooking shops, but sorry, just not the same!!!) so I do sympathise. I also get loads of my stamps online.
Have you looked at the Stampscapes stamps? They come unmounted and that makes them cheaper. Also, you don't need loads of stamps to be able to build up a nice scene. Or Northwoods Stamps do loads of nice scenes/trees plus lots of ideas of how to colour them up.
Hero Arts do some lovely sentiments plus cutesy birds etc and they do lots of clear and now the cling stamps which keeps costs down.
It does sound more though like there is an underlying problem which lies more in analysing what you have already bought. You say they all seem the same. Perhaps you are drawn to one kind of design (I also suffer from this, it is called silhouette flower syndrome, but I am quite happy with it!!!!). It is good that you have a list of the kinds of stamps you would like. Each time you are tempted to buy a stamp, consult your list and see if it is on it, otherwise, resist!!!!!
Also, as already mentioned, the B/S/T section here on SCS is fab. I have bought loads of stuff from the ladies on there and have always been pleased with what I have bought. Also, to generate some more stamp buying income, you could always swap sets you already have and don't really want for something you do want!

Thanks for listening to me whine.
I know people complain a lot about Michaels not having much, but don't rule them out for stamps. They have a new line of clear stamps called Recollections. They are only $6.99 a set and have lots of cute sets and a good variety. With a coupon they are even more reasonable. They stamp very well if you use a pigment ink, like Versafine Onyx. Check them out if you can get to a Michaels store.

Hey! *grin* I was thinking of Michael's too! But she said she had no craft stores nearby. I love all the new clear stamps they are stocking!!!!
I know what you mean about not having decent stamp/suppy stores in your area. I have a similar problem, but have found some very reliable companies online, that you might like too:
for "anything adorable" check out the Unity Stamp Co (they are a member co on SCS) and they just started a new stamp line called Ippity, which is super adorable too. Unity has alot of coffee, tree and sentiment images like you were looking for.
I really like pink cat studio digi stamps, they have some really adorable images too, and i think you can get actual stamps from them too.
and, you may want to try to other member companies here too, they all have great customer service and fabulous products.
I also like PTI (Papertreyink)- for fast service and great products.
I think if you check out the Firecracker designs for Pamela- the stamps are nice unmounted red rubber and are priced reasonably- alot of the sets are less than $10.00 . There are alot of nature stamps and they work with each other.
Here is the link: http://www.firecrackerdesignsbypamela.com/
My suggestion is to go look in the Company Galleries at the cards that have been posted using the stamps first- because sometimes I like stamps and then do not know what to do with them once I have them.......

Sounds like you might need to take a look at some on line stores that carry a variety of stamp companies so you can narrow down to what you like. There are a couple out there that do that, and I find it helpful to not have to go from site to site. If affordability is an issue, then you might want to narrow it further to unmounted stamps. There is thread that was started a bit ago that lists people's favorite on line stores... I'll find a link for you.
Here you go: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
go to the end of the thread and she has created a great list - click on the name and it takes you to the web site!
if you google bethany word art she has tons of sentiments you can download and print out. you will have to go through all her old posts to get them all. They are awesome.
Im not the best with the computer and I dont know how to add links. I am new to stamping (have been scrapbooking for 8+yrs) and have done most of my stamp shopping on ebay. If you watch you can get some good deals.
Has anyone suggested Angel Company stamps? I recently bought some, and LOVE them!! I love the sentiments, which fit just exactly what I want to say. Nothing flowery or poetic...just sweet. I love the ones I just got! And they have some really CUTE stuff! Let me look up my demo's scs link...

I would love it if I had a Michael's close by to look at their clear stamps. Have to wait until a shopping trip since the nearest craft store is about an hr and a half away.
