Hi, It's Sandy Parker and I started the You Tube channel, "Crafting for almost Everyone" . It's a channel really for everyone but focuses on persons with physical limitations who can't always make projects like everyone else. Since I have the same limitations, I saw a need and have tried to fill it. The tough part is how do I get the word out? We have a facebook page, blog and are on google+. Splitcoaststampers were gracious enough to add us to their facebook page as well as were a couple other You Tubers and crafters.
So I'm looking for ideas as to how to capture more of my target audience. I wondered how do you get things on pinterest and if you don't have many facebook followers, how does that help? I'm brand new to facebook so we linked it to my husband who has friends or followers or whatever people that are linked to you are called.
I think if people watched one video and can past the deformity in my hands, they would see that the videos are for almost everyone. Any ideas, suggestions? I'm not trying to sell anything and when I do list the products that I use, I always give the top retailers prices so people don't think I am sending them to a site to benefit from the sale. I thought you'd want to know that as a lot of people go on You Tube to make money and that is definitely not my intent. I only want to give most people an outlet for their creative side and relieve the boredom in their lives and hopefully make them laugh at my silliness.
I live in a small town and have put up fliers in the local senior center etc. and contacted the Arthritis Foundation.
No idea is out of the box. Thanks in advance for your help. Sandy

Sandy, I'm on Facebook and would be happy to share your page. What name do you have on Facebook, so I can find you?

You could try outreaching to orgs to let them know you are out here. You mentioned the Arthritis Foundation...isnt there one specific to RA? OA? You could do MS, MD, etc etc. I might try AARP...seniors might not have the strongest grips without formal Dxs. Occupational therapist sites.
You may have to be a little patient. Takes time to build up a following as I understand it.
I think this is a wonderful idea and I would be willing to post the You Tube link on my blog, I don't do facebook and others but I don't see a link here for your you tube.
Perhaps you can also give a heads-up to the retailers whom you mention in your videos - send those companies the link to the specific video in which they are mentioned - perhaps some of them will be so pleased that they'll also share the link with their customers?
