He just started his vinyl cutting business and wanted to advertise his work. I asked him to make me something to put on the van. I drew up my design idea and he added my business e-mail. I love how it turned out. Who says men can't be useful? ;)
You are too funny. I don't know if I can write that info in here. I noticed the new bst guidelines. I just wanted people to see what a cool gift I got. So, if you want, you could always email me or pm me!
It's really nice but I think it goes against SU logo guidelines, first for not being the sanctioned logo and second because SU contracts with someone to do car magnets and clings (although not completely the same, I don't think, so this one might not be a "rule-breaker").

I like it too, but I do think it does go agains SU guidelines also... You can only create things with THEIR LOGO if the people they contracted don't make it.
I checked the manual the first time I did this, but double checked today. Here's what I found...so I still should be safe. this is aubrey27 on my mom's computer.
Company Name: When using the company name Stampin Up! in a sentence, copyright statement, or advertising, follow these guidelines:
Stampin Up! may be printed in either all caps or using capitals at the beginning of each word.
Use an apostrophe after the word Stampin (i.e., Stampin).
Add an exclamation point after the word Up (i.e., Up!).
Add the (registered trademark) symbol after the exclamation point the first time the name is used on any page or wherever it is used conspicuously.
See the Copyrights and Trademarks section of this chapter of this manual for proper usage of logos.

I thought the same think about the SU logo. It was a thoughtful gift, but I thought you could not use their name. I'm not a demo so I could be totally off on this!
It is a thoughtful gift, but according to Section 6A (or 6B for Canadians) it is against the rules. To take this out of SU! land, while you might love Pepsi it would be against the law for your DH to reproduce their logo, without licensing it from Pepsi to do so.
Here is the relevant portion of the demo manual:

Logos
Demonstrators will find sheets of different-sized logos (called a logo slick) for both Stampin Up! and the DSA on the Demonstrator Web Site under Business Tools/Business Aids/Copyright and Legal Information/Logo Sheets. (To learn more about the DSA, see How Stampin Up! Supports Your Efforts in the Getting Started Guide in this manual.) Demonstrators can print and cut logos from these sheets and use them on minor advertising or on any approved major advertising (see the Advertising policy in this manual for explanations of these terms).
Demonstrators can electronically scan the logo or use a copy machine to increase or decrease the size of the logo as long as the proportions remain exactly the same. Use only the boxed, rectangular Stampin Up! logo with the (registered trademark) symbol. Stampin Up! reserves the entwined letters (SU!) logo for corporate use only. Make sure the logo is straight, not tilted. The logo must be reproduced in black and white only. Although demonstrators can use the logo on their advertising, they cannot place the logo on any other items or products. All other logo usage must be approved by Stampin Up! Only Stampin Up!approved vendors are authorized to reproduce the logo for demonstrators business cards, stationery, and apparel.

I would highlight two areas of the second paragraph. The first issue is that they only would want the boxed, rectangular Stampin' Up! logo. Because his design is round it would not meet their approval. The second issue, and more relevant, is that it specifically says that demonstrators may not use a logo on any other items or products.
I'm not an attorney, but the way I read this it is black-letter and his logo would need to be approved by Stampin' Up!. Failure to do so could expose either of you to legal action - not saying that SU! would do so, just that they certainly could and would be well within their legal rights to sue, although I would think they would certainly try a cease-and-desist letter first.
Cheers,

You can always send an e-mail to DS and see if it can be approved. I had to do that with a monogramed piece my husband got for me. I had to make a small adjustment and now it fits in the guidelines and has their approval. Otherwise it is AWESOME. Way to go hubby!
