I have a ton of stamps that are specifically for that and I use regular stamps as well..like if I use a large flower on the front....I will use a smaller flower on the back and add my initials and date...or something that co-ordinates with what I use on the front.
Recently I've been printing out several of these in business card size, and adhering them to the back of my cards - that way they can keep it with their other business cards if they want.
I printed them directly onto the back of my graduation announcements.
Mine is great...it says:
"This is an original, handmade work of art. Any smudges, spots or other irregularities are intentional and do not diminish the quality of this piece in any way."
I have always used a certain group of stamps, depending on the card content. Then under it or close, I use my first initial and last name, smooched together!
I can't find the file on my computer now, but if you go to my blog and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page you can see mine. I stamp a left hand stamp (stamp off first on another paper), then my 'stamping alter ego' over that in the same color, sign, and date.
My mom purchased a specialized stamp for me when I started stampin. Since then I have purchased another to use when I make cards to sell. The Paperangel is a wonderful place to pick you own and right now they have a specials right now. Buy one personalized stamp and get one for a friend or two free personalized with purchase of $35. I love my stamps from them and the service is wonderful.... http://www.paperangel.com/store/crafters.html
Good luck!

I love these ideas. I need to start signing the back of my cards too!

Believe it or not, Walmart sells a cute set for about $5. It has two stamps in it: One says Thank you, and the other one says "Handcrafted By" with a cute little flower. Then you sign your name underneath.

I bought and use my personalized stamp from SU!. It's an investment that is WELL worth the money, because it is cute and will have your name on it so you don't have to write on every card. Granted, if you don't use SU! products when you stamp, you may want to just get a stamp that has a cute "handmade by" or other message (SU! has a lot of these, too) and then sign your name, but at least then you'd have an image to put on the back.
I use an Avery label. I chose a font I liked- it says handcrafted by (insert name) and email address. Its super easy and I can change it around from time to time
I have one of the "Hand Stamped By" stamps from SU. I don't sign them or date them (my aunt dates hers and also numbers them (1/12)).
My 'signature', though, is I heat emboss the "Hand Stamped By". I use the craft ink that matches the card I'm using (or VersaMark if it's an In-Color, for example) and clear EP.
That's my thing. I made some cheerleader boxes for a holiday gift at work, but didn't sign them. One of my co-workers (and trust a guy to pick up on this), looked for it and was disappointed it wasn't there. He was the only one that noticed it was missing.
I've had people remark that I hadn't signed the back like I usually do. But that's when I have to tell them that I didn't make it....oops! They really come to expect hand made especially for them, don't they? same thing with knitting....Hey! what did you knit for ME?
Not to hijack, just curious - does anyone else sign the fronts of their cards? sometimes I sign a quick 'dini' really tiny on the front where it's not really obvious. I had another friend here see her card on someone else's site - it was a 3rd party who had received a card from a friend that my friend had swapped with. (did that make sense? A swapped with B, B sent card to C, C posted online giving credit to B for the card).

There are times when I initial and date the front(very small lettering)....if its a very pretty watercolored card I will do that
