I am debating with myself over Loads of Love. I have not felt the need to order it until now. I saw a friend of mine making cards with it and thought it would be a great set to have. Is it really a great set to have or am I just impulse buying?
I think its a must have. I bought it as soon as it came out and have never regretted it. Its great cause you can put almost anything in the back of it. I do not have the accessories set for it, I make up my own things from other stamp sets to put in the back of it.
I believe I have a couple of cards in my gallery using it or you can check out the gallery just for it and try to decide from what others have done. I don't see it as one that you would regret though.
I have it and the accessories and I have no regrets. My demo on the other hand thinks it is the ugliest stamp set ever. She can't relate to trucks coming from a family of all girls and then having 4 girls of her own. I think it is very versatile, and my son owns a truck!
I just got it as part of my Sale-A-Bration purchases...I haven't mounted it yet--but I don't regret it one bit. In fact, I'm kind of saving it to enjoy on my own.
It is such a versatile set, I can't imagine regretting it. There are a couple of sets I've bought that I just can't seem to get inspired by, but this isn't one of them.
Loads of Love and the accessories set are the best! I even used it two years in a row for Christmas. The wheel in 05 and the set itself in 06. I made change of address cards for several people and several different kinds of "manly" birthday cards. I totally recommend it!
I have both the Loads of Love & Accessories set. I bought them a couple years ago. I have used it several times and don't regret it ... but not nearly as much as I thought I would, so I don't know if I would go so far as to call it a "must have" for me. It really isn't one of the first sets I think of using ... more like a "oh yeah, I guess I have that I can use". I think I have used the accessories & people more than the truck itself. I'm not trying to sway you from getting it ... just think about whether it fits in with your style and what else you have that it could work with. I got it before I had really got a good feel for what my own style is, but then, you only find out by experimenting!

I loved this set when it came out, but never purchased it. After playing w/ a friends set, I decided I really didn't want or need it. I wouldn't consider it a "must have" set.
It's not a must have for me either, but that might have something to do with the fact that my best friend has it, so I can borrow it when I need to. So far I have never needed to borrow it!

My stamping style started out as country cute, the cute, then not cute, then floral... etc. Fifteen years of stamping and now I don't know how I would categorize my stamping style. I think that now I have enough of pretty much all of the different styles that appeal to me. What's nice about this, however, is that I now own such a great variety that I can make a card for virtually anyone and any event. (Heck, I can even walk out of a stamp store without buying a stamp!)

It is a set that the more I use it the more I LOVE IT! I made "we've Moved" postcards with it, easter cards, christmas cards, boy birthday cards, and more.
I use it for boys birthday cards, Father's Day cards, cards for my Dad, etc. I really like it. I hope to get the accessories set soon since I do not really have many stamps small enough to put in the bed.
My vote is for must have. Look at kittie747's gallery and you will see why I feel that way. She is awesome with these sets (Loads of Love and Loads of Love Accessories). Be sure and go way back, at least a year or so and see lots of delicious Loads of Love cards.

I don't think it's a must have ... I don't have it and prolly won't buy it either. It's cute but not a MUST for me.
Side note: Greta - has anybody ever told you that you look just like Claire Danes? I hope you take that as a compliment 'cause I think Claire is a classic beauty!
Loads of Love never appealed to me, so I did not buy it and opted for a different set in my demo kit. That being said, I see such cute and original cards done with it in the galleries and I completely understand why so many just love it. Kitty747 has elevated this set to an artform, literally!
It just depends on your personal style, and if you like it, you'll probably use it a lot.

It was one of the first sets I owned. I got the accessory set too...and both wheels!!! I love wheels and if there is a wheel that goes with a set, I have to have it.
My hubby is a big truck guy, so this has been a fun set for me. I used it for Christmas last year too.
You can either color the truck, or stamp it in black on colored c/s...it's great!
I have it and the accessories. I think it is just the cutest and I really need to start using it more.
If you decide to get it take some acetate and stamp the truck on it then cut it out. I keep my little acetate cutout in the box with the stamps & then I don't have to keep making mask & I can stamp the accessories with out having to try & eyeball it too.

Ooooh, great idea!
I have it, and have used it a couple of times. I really loved it when it came out, but haven't used it like I thought I would, probably because it's been around for a while now and isn't so fun and new.
I have the set and accessories and love them! I have only girls so we use the hearts, flowers and puppies the most! I just did a happy spring card with the flowers! It is a must have for me!
I don't have very many sets, so this is really a staple for me. I used it for my Christmas cards this year. My hubby on the other hand is sick of every card I give him made with it. It's the only "manly" set I have.

I'm in the minority also. I've had the set and the accessories ever since they came out and they are still UNMOUNTED in my stamp drawer. I just can't get into them. I keep thinking I will one of these days, but that day hasn't come yet.
If your girlfriend has it - BORROW IT! Try it for 2 weeks if she is agreeable and see if you have to have it or if you can do everything you plan to do with it in that time frame.
There is a thread around here someplace about what stamp set did you just HAVE to have and now don't use. Very interesting reading - LOL!
