Leave Keep Cool Carribean and leave out another color!
I was reading the other thread about how much people are stocking up on CCarribean...
found here
and I was thinking that that SU should retire another color to make room for it permanently. Hmmmm, what could go so CC could stay? How about glorious green? I sure could live without it! Or maybe Bordering blue!
What do you think we could say a fond 'good bye' to so we don't have to live without our super cool Cool Carribean?
I am not a big fan of glorious green either, but I think it is a very christmassy color. But they could retire gable green, I think is looks much like certainly celery. I wish they would also keep cranberry crisp and retire ruby red instead. IMO those 2 look very alike, but cranberry is just "fresher".
I think they should retire the Tempting Turquoise, or Taken with Teal.. Just my opinion though.. BOrdering blue would be good too-- gotta keep that Gable green though!!!

I'm all for Glorious Green going bye-bye! I think Garden Green is much prettier and I adore Cool Carribean... If they don't keep Cool Carribean I will definitely be stocking up on it...but it's a shame I wouldn't be able to sell to customers anymore!
Definately glorius green! Here are others that are not my Favorites: going grey, sahara(tho I know alot like this), perfect plum, apricot, and taken with teal. Just my humble opinion. Linda
I'm another Gable Green lover, definitely get rid of Glorious Green. I don't like Bordering Blue either, it is too much like grey. Also not a lover of Apricot Appeal, although I wouldn't be too upset if it stayed and Orchid Opulence always seems like a dirty Lavender Lace to me!

No, sorry, you can keep your mucky paws off Bordering Blue, too  . If you'd have asked me six months ago I'd have agreed with you, but then I saw that beautiful card sample on page 41 of the catalogue and fell in love with it! I even made my Christmas cards in that colour scheme this (er, last) year.
I quite like Apricot Appeal, too - and Orchid Opulence. Don't love Blush Blossom, though.
We've got a lot of purple options...I'd say either of the BB purples (whose names are escaping me right now) would be fair game! Glorious Green could go, too, but in all honesty, I hope SU doesn't change the color families again - I'm just now getting caught up after the last switch!
I am not a big fan of Going Gray. Although I do use it with my blender pens. The other colors I could do without are Yo-Yo Yellow and Sahara Sand. But I'm sure someone likes them. I know I love bordering blue.
I wonder if SU counted on the popularity of this color when they said, "one year only"!?!?!! How about replacing Really Rust? I mean, after Pumpkin Pie came in Really Rust looks really rusty to me.
On second thought, it wouldn't fit into the color family though! Seems like a soft subtles would have to bite the dust! Maybe Mellow Moss is too mellow these days?
I agree that either Green Galore or Gable Green could go and that would leave room for Cool Caribbean in the Brights family.
Gray and Sahara are in the neutral family, so Carribean wouldn't fit there. Maybe not so much for cardmaking, but in scrapping I like to have the neutrals. Wish they sold the neutral family in an assortment pack.
Rich Regals - I would like to see Cranberry replace Bravo Burgundy (it's too brown, I liked the old burgundy). I agree that Bordering Blue is almost gray, it could go.
In the Subtles, I don't care for Pale Plum or Blush Blossom, Caribbean would fit in that family.
But what I really want is for them to keep all the In Colors! And come out with more new colors. The more the merrier! Why should our choices be limited? I guess I was spoiled when little, once you've had the big box of Crayons, you can't go back. If I don't find the shade I want in SU, then I go to Bazzil or some other company.

Yeah, but Orchid Opulence is really close to Lavender Lace so you could lose one. It's funny but I only really use the greens, Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue in the Soft Subtles, I could quite happily re-jig all the Soft Subtle family.
I would also, whilst I was at it, completely redo the Bold Brights. I would keep Pixie Pink, Terrific Turquoise, Only Orange and then I would change the rest of Bold Brights for more fruity colors.
Also, I don't like Handsome Hunter or Bravo Burgundy in Rich Regals, I prefer the old Burgundy.
But I really love Really Rust, the earth elements are my favorites.
Now I feel much better having completely changed SU colors!
Really Rust, Ruby Red, Old Olive, and Glorious Green could all disappear. I wish they would bring Forest Foliage and Mauve Mist back though. Oh, yes I am down to my last package of Rose Romance and just hate Regal Rose--sigh!
ACK! I was just reading this thread with no intention of posting until I saw the get rid of BORDERING BLUE?? I {heart} Bordering Blue! One of my favs AND I love ruby red and I love Really Rust!!! What are you saying??!! LOL :0
One I really am not fond of - Elegane Eggplant. The color is SO dark, I really can't tell its shade!
Janet
Oh no, no, no! It's sooo pretty with Artichoke!
I with all those who say Glorious Green can go - I bet my stamp pad is still in the shrink wrap and I think the only cardstock I have are the 3 sheets that came in a multi-pak!
I too am SUPER sad about Cool Caribbean leaving us! I just LOVE it! I think it's my current go-to color . . . well, that and Celery!

Again funny........I use Regal Rose almost every day.
I would want any of the EE to go.....ever.

Yo Yo yellow would be my choice to go too. I hope that SU will consider keeping Caribbean Blue. It really is a pretty color. I intend to keep stocking up on it.
I also love Bordering Blue (and all things blue). I must be the only one who does not like (no yelling please) Cranberry Crisp. Every time I look at it, it just reminds me of liver. Yuck! I've tried to like it, but I just can't.
And I agree, the old Burgundy was so much prettier than the new one.
It's hard to look at our color chart and pick out any to get rid of. It will be very interesting to see how SU handles the "In Color" situation when June gets here.
I can't believe some of you don't like Apricot Appeal! I love it! I am also a *huge* fan of Mellow Moss. Now Glorious Green and YoYo Yellow... take them if you must.
I use Glorious green like crazy for St. Patrick's day and Christmas...looks great for shamrocks... My least favorite is eggplant, as it looks too dark almost black unless I water it down a bit....then it is fair.

I'm with you on the BB and Cranberry crisp. They are SO dark and not warm enough. Also, Elegant eggplant and vintage violet are far too dark, and I have trouble seeing the "color." maybe an enabler to get one of those fancy OTT lights?? The bordering blue and mellow moss--I don't think I've ever used either, except at a party.
God bless,
Victoria
Only Orange can go - I don't even use it for Halloween. Pumpin Pie is much nicer. I really agree with everyone about leaving all the In-Colors to give us more choices. Just add to the In-Colors each year or perhaps find a new name for the group of "Out-colors" (Choice-colors?) so that the In-colors are always new for the current year!!
I think Taken with Teal would be a good one to lose. I love a lot of the colors that a lot of people hate, but I HATE Bravo Burgundy. It is brown. I wish Cranberry Crisp would stay and Bravo Burgundy would go. I loved the old burgundy.
I am in total agreement with y'all about barouque burgandy, I love it much more than the new one, I haven't even purchased the new burgandy in CS or ink! I am stocking up on Cranberry crisp CS and ink to tide me over when my old BB runs out! It is my least favorite "new" color!
I don't like bordering blue very much, my daugter calls it "boring blue." I am fine with using going gray, it is really close anyway. I mostly use blush blossom for skin color, so I don't really want it to go because of that reason alone, but couldn't it go into the neutrals and cool carribean go into it's place in the soft subtles? What do y'all think of that idea?

So many people here prefer the old burgundy. I hope some of the SU decision making people read SCS. Cranberry is just a shade lighter than the old burgundy, maybe they'll get the message and keep it.
