I have admired them, but never taken the plunge because I wondered how they stamp. So, you recommend them? They stamp a nice impression? They are priced so reasonably.
They are new art stamps from Germany. I have even watched their tutorials, in German, and I don't understand German...LOL They are silicon stamp pads with great detail and I have found you have to use archival ink with them.

I just posted one...the picture is not so good... but should give you an idea of the detail in the stamp. (The sentiment is not part of the La Blanch stamp)

Oh my gosh! What a fabulous gallery you have. That stamp is wonderful. I love the quilt card. I never thought to emboss it after you piece it, great touch.
I got some great inspiration and ideas from your gallery. Thanks so much for sharing.

I LOVE them. I got two at my favourite stamp store last month, and got two more the next time I went.
There was a slight blemish in one I bought, and thought I would experiment to see if it could be fixed- I zapped it with my heat gun, and the pushed in part popped out.
I love that I get a consistent image every time.
I picked up a few on the weekend and they stamp perfectly. I used Memento ink with no problem.
What paper did you use? I refuse to buy their paper 'cause I have so much white card stock around. I tried diffent inks on several card stocks and got the best results on Stampin' Up's Whisper White and stamping with Archival ink. Mimento was a close second... I used Mimento with Copic markers but the ink just sat on top of the image.
I coloured like Blanche herself, with distress inks....quick easy teasy..

I recently purchased some of these stamps after watching a few videos on the La Blanche YouTube channel. Their channel over on YouTube is LaBlanche111. Some of the videos have amazing ideas on what can be done with these stamps. Keep in mind, however, that most (not all) of their videos are in German but you can easily understand the techniques that are shown, even if you don't happen to understand what is being said. La Blanche does a great job at showing you every product they are working with---the rest is just following along with what they do with them. If you happen to be into the Suze Weinberg Melting Pot (Ranger product), you will be amazed at what can be done with these stamps and the Melting Pot. Check out their YT channel =)
I have to say the best stamped image as far as detail and "clear" stamping is concerned has to be LaBlanche. They really are outstanding. Wish they had more of them. I found out from a site that nobody has been able to get the birdcage stamp from LaBlanche. Everyone seems to have it back ordered for months with no stamps coming.

Oh dear ...I ordered a swan a long time ago... I sure hope I get it?!

I have also been wanting that birdcage stamp but no luck either in finding it. Joann's recently had these stamps on sale but, naturally, there were hardly any in stock. Managed to get a few of them but the hunt continues..... Also, Scrapbooking Warehouse (online store) carries these stamps and the prices are good but the stock levels are not so good. Yes, the back order status and the waiting time is such a bummer.
I'm supposed to get an email from Joann's when the birdcage stamp is back in stock. As soon as I get the email I will post it here. I have a feeling they will go fast.
I didn't know they recommended special ink or paper. I have been using Versafine and all sorts of paper and cardstock. I have been really happy with the results and will certainly buy more as they are easy to clean and they feel good in your hand when stamping.
I'm having issues w/ mine!! Got about 10 at once love them but I got the boy mushroom and he had huge bubbles under the silicone so when I stamped it blurred like crazy and didn't do a good job. The silicone moved around on the foam. Now w/ one I'm playing w/ today it's doing the same darn thing!!!! Pretty ticked. VERY gentle w/ them not pushing or rubbing. But they should stand up to that anyhow. I'm quite frustrated as her bloody paper is over a dollar a sheet for me!!! 10.99 cdn for 10 keg sheets. Rip off but I'm really ticked. Took the mushroom back. Thankfully it's my local scrap store and they are great and know me all to well..... $$$$$..... So new good one but if they are all gonna do this w/ use I'm gonna be pretty ticked off!!
Anyone else having this issue?? Or am I just having a bad batch n rotten luck!! ???
Thanks folks!
Hugs
Victoria
Wow sounds frustrating...mine have been super but I just got 2 new ones so will have to check them out...
I tried all kinds of white paper and inks when I first got 'em and found the Stampin' Up Whisper White card stock worked fine when I used the Archivial inks... the other inks and paper not so good.

That's terrible. I have about 7 of their stamps but I've only used a couple and so far, no problem. I used watercolor paper and wasn't thrilled with the result. I got a crisp image but I just didn't like the paper. I would be interested in what paper and inks worked and what didn't from other posters.
Victoria---I haven't had any issues with the stamps. I have about 5 of them and also only used them a few times so far. What are you using to clean them with? Although cleaning them is probably not the issue---it sounds more like you got a bad batch.
Lorraine---I've been using the Gina K and Couture Cardstock. Think the Couture Cardstock is called Detail Blending Paper but I'm not sure. I've had it awhile and forgot the name of it. The stamps seem to work better with a smooth-finish paper. Also, I've been using Archival Ink and VersaFine---my two favorite inks.
I talked w/ my store manager today and she is contacting the distributor as one other person brought hers back to the store as well. So it may indeed be a bad batch! Drat.
I have found the ranger archival ink very effective. I splurged for La Blanche paper and love colouring on it w/ ranger distress inks!! Like Blanch in her videos. I also got some other sheets of paper that are similar to hers forget the name but better than the Neenah paper that people use w/ copics. The paper feels very slippery n so soft. I just want to rub my face on it!! But the oils would ruin it!!! Lol!!
Thanks for the feedback ladies! Appreciated!

I'd never heard of them until today. I checked them out. Pretty cool stamps. A lot of details. I'll have to check back next week...And maybe buy a couple.

I love the vintage looking stamps.

Hiya,
Not sure if I have posted this or not but the answer is that at my altitude in Calgary Alberta the plastic on top causes bubbles on the stamp surface..... due to the plastic on the top. The plastic cover prevents the air from coming out of the foam and at 3600ft it is a problem for us.....so we will be getting a new version of the stamp at altitude the plastic causes no air to be allowed to escape from the foam and it goes into the stamping surface and thus gets trapped between the plastic and the silicone stamp.
So now the solution that La Blanche have come up with is to STAMP the images stamp onto the top of the foam rather than put the plastic onto the top of the foam. Thus air can be allowed to enter and exit preventing the bubbling!!
So I'm not crazy  and it is not just a bad batch it's actually a known problem to all at altitude...being from close to Sea Level the problem does not occur at that altitude......okay so solution found and we will see new stamps coming out with no plastic on the top of the stamp!
Cheers!!!

Hey there! Glad you found this out and posted here. I'm in Calgary too and was debating on whether to get some of these stamps. I love the La Blanche images, but have so many other stamps that haven't seen ink yet.
I have so many uninked too!!!! I will have to exchange the old when the new ones come in...I go to scrapbookers paradise and the manager has said she'll happily exchange them for me. Paper pastimes has the new ones without the plastic in stock! worth the effort....love ranger ink with them and the lablanche paper! expensive but can use distress inks really well on it! love it!!
good luck n have fun the images are incredible!!!!
hugs,
v
I'm so glad they found a solution to your problem. Who would ever think altitude could be the problem? Glad somebody did and the problem is a fixable one.
Thanks for the Frantic Stamper link. I now have about 8 of these stamps. I think I'm also going to get the Christmas stamps they have. I'm so impressed with the way the images turn out. I used Gina K's pure luxury cardstock and Memento Tuxedo Black and really thought the paper and ink worked well.
Joan, I know with clear stamps if you gently rub an eraser over the image it stops the ink from beading. I am not familiar with these stamps so I don't know if it is a viable option, just a suggestion.
I haven't had that problem so I can't offer any advice but I'm wondering if maybe, like with the clear stamps, there's some kind of coating on the stamp that needs to be cleaned off? I would just try using dish washing detergent and see if that helps. I'm sure others will offer suggestions and hopefully you can get this problem solved. They're such great stamps. Good luck.
I LOVE these stamps and purchased about 5 of them this summer. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the stamped images. I'm a newbie at stamping and coloring, I'd love to see what you all have done with your LaBlanche images...please share!
