For a quick temporary fix, you can use low tack double stick tape and your acrylic block.
For a more permanent solution, you can go several way, depending on your preference:
1. EZ Mount - a foam cling mount that is permanently attached to your stamp.
2. Tack and Peel - a low tack sticky paper that is attached to your acrylic block.
3. Aileene's Tack It Over and Over - a liquid glue that drys to a tacky finish that is applied to the bare rubber. This is my favorite. It's quick, low cost, easy to find (Michael's carries it), and relatively unmessy.
I found it best to mount my Kraftin' Kimmie stamps on ez-mount since I had some issues getting a nice solid & crisp imprints on some of the stamps I purchased - I think it was because the stamps were fairly big images.
Once mounted on ez-mount, the images stamped wonderfully and I love them - can't wait to get some more!
I used to EZ mount all my unmounted rubber stamps because I also believe that the cushion produces a better image, especially with bigger images. Over the years, however, I've become very lazy and my unmounted stamps have become far too numerous and I just couldn't keep up so I had to come up with a quick solution. I now have several different sizes of acrylic blocks that I covered with EZ mount and then I placed the Tsukineko Tack and Peel over the EZ mount. I love that I have the cushion without having to indivdually mount each rubber stamp (and no more sticky scissors). This has saved me a lot of time and a ton of money.
It doesn't have to be acrylic blocks, old wood mounts would work just as well, but acrylic blocks are what I had way too many of at the time that I decided to do this. You won't be able to see through the acrylic block because of the gray foam anyway.

Great idea I never would have thought of, but then how do you store the stamps?
Oh also to the OP if you decide to mount your stamps on EZ Mount invest in a hot knife to cut with, it beats the heck out the scissors that get all gunked up.

LOVE the Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and know you will too! ACCK! I just found out it's their one year anniversary and a sale going on till Oct. 4!!
Aileene's TIOAO is also what I use. I store my unmounted rubber stamps in Tim Holtz's Binders. LOVE that too!
When stamping, try using a mousepad under the paper for cushion. I stand up and mash down on the stamp to get a perfect impression.

I store my unmounted rubber stamps that don't have any cushion in ziplocs baggies in Snap n Store containers. It's amazing how many stamps you can store in one 3" container.
I use EZ Mount and a hot knife. You can get the knife at any craft store with a 50% off coupon- its one of the better tools I've got in my kit. Cuts beautifully through EZ Mount, as well as rubber when I carve my own stamps out of pink erasers, and clear plastic when I cut overlays. I've saved quite a bit of money buying unmounted stamps, so the small expense for the EZ Mount and the knife really didn't upset my budget.

....great idea. You can also put a mouse pad under your work to get cushioning. Works great.

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock
quick question, regarding unmounted rubber stamps. If you tried the tack over glue on the stamp, then decide you prefer foam backing, can you then apply ez-mount to the stamp?
I have used goo gone on my acrylic mounts whenever they end up with double sided tape on them that I couldn't get off. Worked great and had a brand new mount to start gooing up all over again.
Ive never tried the EZ Mount. I will have to look for that.
I just love Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and also use the EZ mount for mine. I store them on the EZ mount sheets (they are like laminated cardstock style sheets). Work like a charm. Her stamps are super cute. I have a bunch of Kraftin' Kimmie.
I just use the Tsuenkeo Tack N Peel on my blocks. I quit using the cushion, I found I didn't need it. Check out The {Stamps} of Life by Stephanie Barnard, she has her 'secret weapon'....a black piece of thick fun foam to stamp on. That gives you a little cushion if you want it. I like that I can see through my clear blocks so I wouldn't put the cushion on the block, but that's just me. Good thread.
I just bought some Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and am assuming that I need to cut the rubber into smaller pieces? The sentiment and image are on the same piece of rubber and there seems to be a lot of extra rubber around the edge of the image. Before I go cutting and ruin it, I thought I would ask everyone here....should I cut them up?

Yep, just trim out the image and the saying. Depending on how much extra rubber their is, sometimes I do it before adding my EZ mount on the back, other times I put the ezmount on the back first and then trim. Obviously it's less messy to trim with the ezmount already there, but can waste a lot of ezmount....
