A co-worker has asked me to make his girlfriend a birthday card using a Koala Bear. Cute idea but can't find an image. Do you know of any rubber, clear, or digital images of Koala's I can purchase?
There's a lovely set of digital images - Aussie Animals - available here:AngelsLanding.com Products | Aussie Animals Digital Stamp Images
I know it shows the koala with a balloon, but if you read the text there's one without as well. I love these , and I am not big into digi. The images come in both black and brown, too. There should be one or two in my gallery, with the sugar glider and the koala. And the kookaburra in the foreground. Koala Sugar glider

I really love this stamp. You may be interested to know that I had a koala come through my back yard a few weeks ago. We are one of the lucky ones here in Australia that still has these animals coming past our door on a regular basis. Even have the mums with their babies.

OHHHHHH I am totally jealous! My favorite animal is a koala and would love to come visit Australia just to see them! Are you able to take any pictures? Once when our zoo had a koala exhibit I talked to the zoo keeper and he let me come in their cage to pet one while he held it. I was so excited! It was so up close and personal.

That is SO cool. I would just love to see that. Obviously we never would see that here in the USA. It was so unusual, even in the zoo to have them. As a child the San Antonio zoo was one of very few in the USA to have a set of Koalas for a short period of time. So as a texan I am one of a handful who has probably ever even seen one in person (other than on TV).
Cheers, Holley

Kelly I'm going to make you even more jealous. One of our old friends was a wildlife carer and had Koala's all year round. We used to take our girls down to visit so we have some nice photos of us holding them. he is an old man now so no longer does it. You would laugh though he even had them in his bed along with Eucalyptus branches. Some of them were very spoilt.
Of course taking them to bed is not a good idea as they are wild animals and their claws are very long and sharp. My husband found an injured one at his work so he picked it up and took it to the police to take down to a carer. They thought it would be ok in the back seat of the police car. That was not a good idea, it started feeling better and tried to get out. The police car seats were shredded.
Well I'll stop rambling now. Oh yes I meant to say they are not bears, so the subject of this thread would probably make a few Aussies cringe. I know it's easy to think of them as bears but they definately aren't.
I would love to have one as a pet, but they would have to be declawed! LOL I do realize how sensitive they really are and how they have a hard time adjusting to civilization. I really feel for them when they get pushed out of their habitat. Thanks for sharing

Yep - you are right -I WAS cringing at the koala"BEAR"...as my husband always says -they are marsupials not bears!!!!
Anyway.. Stamp-It has heaps of Aussie animal and flower themed stamps and some wonderful koala images-realistic and cute. They are a good reputable company and I have never had any issue ordering from them
