Your first "workshop" order (first order over $150) you receive a 30% discount instead of the regular 20%. But only the first workshop within 45 days of the day you sign up.
I guess it doesn't have to be a workshop order because I got the extra 10% off my first $150.00 demo order. I wish I had gotten more.
We already know that from August 11 - October 11, 2008 you can choose a free set from the sampler or the Fall/Winter 2008 catty free on top of the starter kit items.

Oh Sharon, just the thought of them offering an "abbreviated" starter kit sends chills down my spine. I only want to join for the discount. I don't plan on having any workshops or anything. I have been trying to justify to myself for months on spending $199.00 for a starter kit. If they do this I'll be one happy SU Demo for sure.
Last time I believe it was the business supplies, any stamp set $28.95 or less, one pack of assorted cardstock, one pack of WW cardstock, and a classic ink pad.

I used to work for Employment Security Commission in Raleigh, NC. I collected statistics on layoffs/closings. Now I collect statistics on Mental Health! I'd rather be stamping......
My problem is I don't know if I have enough patience to wait to place a big order until Oct. Last night I started making a list of all the stuff I want to get with the 30% off and that was just in cardstock and punches that are in the "old catalog" because I haven't seen the new one yet and I am already in trouble. lol
I have the will power to wait, lol. I would of course place a small order but then would place the big order in October. I am planning to sign up at the end of August if I sign up in August. It would be the last week, so hopefully they will announce something soon as far as a small kit.
That is a good idea. I could do a smaller order first, get the new in color stuff and get my "fix" while I patiently (yeah, right, who am I kidding?) wait for October to come around. lol
Not sure if this has been posted other than on the demo side, but there will be a promotion for a $99 starter kit. Actually there are three different $99 options for a recruit to use:
A Stamping focused kit
A Scrapbooking focused kit
or a Home Decor focused kit.
Or, if you choose the regular $199 kit, you can choose an additional stamp set of your choice (any price) along with everything that comes in the kit. Both promotions ($99 kit or $199 kit w/ extra stamp set) go from August 11 - October 11.
