I was just browsing the SU blog and noticed some beautiful cards made with the new Hardwood background stamp, which apparently is only available between January and the end of May. My question is, where the heck did this stamp come from and what other new stamps have I missed??? The only way I could find it on the web store was by doing a search for it by name, it's not in the "new arrivals" section or anywhere else I looked... I do check the site fairly often to check the new arrivals or weekly deals, but I'm finding that SU seems to be coming up with so much stuff outside of the catalogues that I can't keep up. And strangely, they don't seem to be making much noise about new products on the website either. For example, I'm interested in whatever new photopolymer sets they have, but when there is a new set it's kind of tucked away into the "new arrivals" or "photopolymer" section without any kind of announcement. You'd almost think they're trying to hide some of their new stuff! Anyone else getting frustrated trying to keep up/track down new SU goodies? Maybe I just don't check the website enough! Is there some other secret place where they reveal all their new things? Sorry for the rant, I guess I just don't like not knowing about new goodies, especially stamps!

I only access my demo's SU site, gave up on the main one years ago, especially after they redesigned it. She also sends out notices when new stuff comes out. Other demo blogs are also very helpful. Maybe SU is letting their demos keep info up front and current in this age of blogs, Pinterest, etc.?
I save SU favorite blogs to bloglovin reader site. I have a folder within bloglovin for SU
sites; and view them on a regular basis to keep up with SU products and promotions.
It's a free site to save favorite blogs; just like looking through a handmade card catalog
pr magazine and not paying for a subscription; love blog readers

OK...this may sound dumb, but how do you find SU blogs? I googled and there was a link for a blog on the SU website, but it did not have peoples' blogs just some projects I didn't want. I'm not adventurous when it comes to trying things online, so I appreciate any connections to SU cardmakers' blogs.
on splitcoast stampers, in the bloggers forum, search box, put in stampinup blogs; and when doing a 'google search' enter stampinup blogs. Should bring you enough to start with. Copy (ctrl c) go to blog lovin, then (ctrl V) to paste into search in blog lovin, and it will ask you if you want to follow group, then it will probably ask you if you want to add it to a group and my file is just SU, to create that folder. Then available to view everytime they add a posting to these sites.

I agree with Makalah, find a good, active demo blog or FB page and sign up for her/his mailing list. There is a lot of stuff going on these days, and it's great to have it all in one place.

When you find cards in the SU gallery that you like, you may need only to look at the signature of the poster to find a blog link.
Try mine, for instance. :-)

Yup! The SU! site is very difficult to decipher, and not all bloggers continue to promote new items after the introductory splash. I'm not faulting the bloggers, (too) many of whom I follow faithfully. You'd think the company would make its website easier to use and especially to search.

I liked it when they had their products in the catalog. Now it seems like things come out all helter shelter and for me it's difficult to find especially the new items.
This doesn't apply to the new main catalogue when it comes out, but always the current Mini has a separate gallery section here Stampin Up! Gallery: Minis & Challenges (Stampin' Up!) - Page 1 - Cards & More - Splitcoaststampers - you'll also see any current special promotions, like Sale-a-Bration at the moment. (I linked to the overall gallery. For the current mini, you just need to click on the Occasions Mini heading. You'll find Hardwood in there ;-)).
Once a new mini comes out, all those go down into the regular alphabetical listings in the gallery, but it's one easy way to see what the new stamp sets are from the current mini. ( Not stuff like dies and accessories, though).

I know that can be frustrating, and trust me, I'm not crazy about all the flyers either. But I'm thrilled they did not wait for the next annual catalog to come out for stuff like the Envelope Punch Board, or the flip-fold card Thinlets. There's a trade-off--we get the product earlier, but we have to deal with it as a flyer and not a catalog. I'm willing to work with a flyer for the opportunity to have brand-new items coming out all year round rather than only three times a year. ;)
