I LOVE JR stamps and have a huge collection! I started out with a border set and an alphabet set - and off I went to create lots of nice projects - than added onto my collection - also I recommend ordering an extra handle for whichever size you get - it helps when making multiple projects! I have a bunch of projects in my gallery using JR stamps! HTH
I have loads of their stamps too...I just love them. I would not be able to tell you where to start...they didnt have so many to choose from when I started collecting them...I ordered a whole bunch to start because even with just not so many sets...I could not choose...blessings.
I asked this question a few months ago and it was suggested that I start with the 2" round stamper first. The 1 5/8" stamps can be used with this stamper for the center, so I
chose some of the 1 5/8" ones for my center message and the 2" border ones to go around it. I'm anxious to get more, as this combination worked very well for my Christmas cards.
I have 2 sets and not as crazy about them as I thought I would be. They stamp nice but the drawback is that it's hard to use your stamp-a-ma-jig with a round stamp. I wanted them to make note cards and I want each card to be stamped in exact same position - not that easy to do.
