:confused:With my ever-growing Just Rite stamp collection, I am in dire need of a better way to keep them organized.......especially since the more recent sets are packaged in clear plastic rather than boxes. Does anyone have a great idea to keep them easily accessible, yet organized??? I really need some suggestions.......TIA for any ideas.
I don't have any ideas for you, but am interested in some answers too. I currently have mine stored in a photo box, but it's far from ideal - especially for the new demi phrases I just got. I was thinking of trying to store the centers/borders in baseball card sleeves in a binder, but haven't gotten around to buying the baseball card sleeves yet.
I don't have that many but so far the turquoise box (formerly punch tin) from SU is enough to hold mine. The mechanized monogramming device (I can't remember what it's called!) does fit into it.
Oh...I have two of these blue punch boxes sitting empty...I was toying with just throwing them in the recycle bin...I am going to try that! Great Idea...
blessings.
Thanks for the link! I had just put my JustRite stuff in ziplock bags today, ready to take to the Container Store to find some desk top storage containers. Then I read this post! It looks like the JustRite storage container is made out of cardboard if I'm reading it correctly. I'm thinking that I need something a little sturdier, but not sure. Are they made to stack these on top of each other. I would like to know if they are user friendly.
I am also looking for some ideas. I saw the storage option on Justrite site, but it is made of paper. I can do the same with one of the many PTI Timeless Templates or other templates. I am looking for something sturdy.
I have this Magpie Storage units that I use to store my pencils. They had it on sale in Big Lots for 20 bucks. I was wondering if I can use those with the quickutz tins to hold the justrite stamps. But I am not sure if the biggest one will fit there with ease. Just thinking aloud.

First off, we saw the prototype for this storage at CHA. This is not cardstock - it is a heavy, heavy cardboard. Thicker even than the original JustRite storage/packaging. :p

Did anyone get a picture at CHA? because when I looked on the website there wasn't one.

Hi Lori,
So would you say it is like a heavy chipboard and did you feel like it was sturdy enough?
Thanks
Banu
Thank you for the responses! It appears that I am not the only one looking for suitable storage......I was hoping to find something with moveable compartments that I could adapt to the centers & borders......and all the different sizes.........I may have to give this some very serious thought!!!
I'd like something to keep the circle and centers for each size organized in the box. I can just store them loose in a small drawer, but I want them to stay together. Hmmm?
I'm storing mine in a drawer organizer that fits into my storage tower. I had been using it in the "junk" drawer. It has both large and small sections that fit everything just great. And best of all it was CHEAP!!!
Yes, it was very sturdy. I would say even heavier than chipboard. I wish I could think of something to compare it to.
Thanks Lori. Appreciate it. I will go ahead and order this storage with my next justrite order, I had liked it, but was not sure it is sturdy. It is kind of hard to figure it out from the photo.
I'm trying out this storage idea for my JustRite stuff. I purchased the small round screw together towers that beaders use to store their beads. I have placed borders from one set in a round and centers from a set in another round etc. I labelled the sides of each of the sections of the containers with my P-touch. I keep these in a frosted plastic desktop box I purchased at the Container Store along with the literature, alphabets and the 'bead' towers.
I've really been giving this storage quest some deep thought! And I am wondering if those drawer organizers that you can purchase at Home Depot, Menards, etc., would work. (the ones that set on your tabletop and have little drawers that hold your embellishments, etc.) What do you think??? I will look into this further............ If anyone has tried this, please give me your opinion. TIA
I think that's a great idea. At work they recently reorganized an area and they used something like your talking about but the storage drawers looked nicer than the ones at Home Depot for screw, nails etc. I think they get their office supplies from Staples. I'm going to check on-line.
I also saw the JR storage drawer at CHA. It's definitley sturdy, but I have to say worthless IMO. It's just a very small drawer (or pull out matchbox) with 4 holes in the top so the pegs of the plastic font trays will fit on top.
If JR would come up with decent storage options I'd be the first one to jump on board. In the meantime I'm keeping most of my JR stuff in plastic SU clamshells and all of those are in a small plastic Iris tower. It's not ideal, but it's working pretty well for now.

I just received a storage box. It doesn't even have the holes for the pegs...which surprised me. I am glad I only ordered one. One of my customers had ordered 4, and I think she will be disappointed.
Right now, I am using a Rubbernaid storage box that is bigger than the shoe box size. I went to Hobby Lobby and got 3 different sizes of ziplocs (from their jewelry section) and put each set in whichever ziploc fit it best and printed a label off for them. Then they go in the plastic box with all the font sets and blocks.

As I read along...I thought about those nut/screw/bolt organizers with the different sized small drawers...that could be useful for those wanting to store and organize by size. Some of the units have large enough drawers on the bottom row that they could hold all of the blocks as well... I do like the clear plastic ones through staples, but I don't know (for me) if there's enough variety in the different shapes/sizes you can get...
I just got baseball card divided sheets and keep all of the borders and centers I have in them inside a binder. Each baseball sheet has nine pockets in it -I put the border/center facing out and put the picture of it cut from the back of the package on the opposite side since a few are hard to read backwards. I use a photo box to keep my fonts and round blocks in. So far I like it since I can see all of the borders and centers I have while looking through the binder.
I had bought my husband something similar, it had a handle and could be carried to and from work (he's an electrician) and he could keep switches and plugs, and breakers plus wire nuts, etc...
you could put your borders and small circles up top --
the larger ones in the middle
blocks on the bottom...
stack the fonts on top?? maybe... just an idea...
They aren't necessarily cheap, but it would allow you to customize your storage options...you may only need the little bins and the big ones...
I purchased one of the organizers from Menards......it has 18 large drawers and measures 18 1/4" h x 14 1/2" w x 6" d. I have each drawer labeled (temporarily with post-its). I plan to organize and re-organize 'til I get it just the way I want it!! I have my font boxes setting on top.....I plan to make dividers on the inside of each of the drawers to separate the different sets. I do think this system will work once I get it all organized.
I thought long and hard about this and the current solution that I came up with is this,
I had bought these small circular boxes from Michaels in the dollar bin just for decorating etc. I put all the related borders and centers in them and put them in the Blue Storage tins that SU was selling some time ago. I have theree of the circular boxes in the blue storage tin and still have space for the fonts and tweezers etc. is working out good for me as of now as I only have three sets of them and one Monogram set that came in its own golden box.
I will try to take some pictures and post them soon.
I'm glad you liked my little idea. I used a 50% off coupon and got it for $1.50!
Don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. I love to organize stuff.
Thank you for the great idea! I bought 2 4-circle towers at Walmart last night $1.96 ea - need to go back and get more - I printed CD labels and put them on each tower so that I know what is inside without having to open each one! - waiting patiently to see the new sets being released on July 7th!!!
I checked at our walmart yesterday to and didn't see any big enough. I may have to hit some 'bigger' craft stores when I go to the valley next week!
The ones that I got are in the beading section - they measure 2 3/4" round - so the stamps measuring up to 2" fit perfect - the small ovals fit well too - the only set that I had to separate so far is Tiny Words - I put the center in one and the borders in another!
