I have been following this thread for a while but can't remember if I've ever posted (same goes for my gallery which I am finally getting off my computer and on to SCS). So, I thought I'd share this Jewish baby card I just did for friends - I figure the minute you add Mazel Tov to baby, it becomes a Jewish baby card.
I also wanted to share my new creative Jewish blog: Made by Mamaleh in case anyone is interested. I am posting some of my cards there but really it's a combo of crazy craftiness and domesticity.

OMGoodness - maple syrup challah?! Yummy! I've bookmarked your blog.
Very cool thread! Just stumbled across it when search results when haywire as they seem to do so often here! Now to work my way through the whole thing since the dips I've made are fabulous.
Thanks everyone for sharing your information, insights, projects, blogs and more. Can't wait to share this with others looking for direction. Not to mention the CASEing possibilities. Love the history represented here too with a 6 year old thread.

Just wanted to let you all know that I featured Stampin' Up's new Jewish Celebrations set on my blog this weekend. I uploaded them to my gallery here as well.

Awesome cards Yapha! Once I've created a finished RH card (instead of my assembled/disassembled/reassembled) prototype using SU's Perfectly Preserved set, I will post it here.

Those are great Hanukkah cards, Harriet! Thanks for the link!

So glad I found this thread..I'm Adventist and know very little about the Jewish faith. I was lucky enough to spend 2 weeks in D.C. this fall and my wonderful hosts are Jewish. I would love to send them holiday appropriate cards....thx so much for all the information and links here....
I want to be sure you all know that some Stampin' Up! demonstrators are participating in a Hanukkah Blog hop, going on now. We are posting projects every Sunday and Wednesday until December 9th.
You can hop on from Yapha's blog (see above) or mine. Jean Fitch and Andi Potler are participating as well.
Hop on by!

I finally got my Hanukkah card made for my new friends....I'd appreciate it if any of you who have made and/or received Hanukkah cards would look and let me know if I need to do anything different. I don't want to offend anyone. Thanks so much ahead of time and for this great thread

Beautiful card! Thanks for sharing it. One thought. If you wanted to add a Star of David element you could create one of the Star fold cards from the SCS tutorials and add that in place of the flowers. Not sure if the flowers don't make it seem a tiny bit Christmassy. On the other hand the flowers are beautiful and they know you aren't Jewish so I rather think your hosts will recognize that you are attempting to honor their traditions and that this card comes from the heart. That's the important thing and no one could ever be offended by that!
Beautiful card, and I agree with Jean about the flowers. While beautifully done, it says pointsettia to me. You could do a different kind of flower with rounded petals or create a Star of David with 2 triangles, or a punch art menorah might be cute too.

Great job and I'm sure you're hosts will love it!
It is a spectacular Menorah, and I love the colors you chose! But I do about the flower. It seems much to Christmasy to me. Everything else is fabulous, though! Thank you for taking the time to make a special card.

I meant to say punch art dreidel, not menorah. The menorah is fabulous!
Here's a great tutorial by Holly for a punch art dreidel. Easy and awesome!
thx so much for all the input...I really appreciate it.. I looked at the tutorial and I think I can manage it in the smaller size Jean has come up with. And I think John will really appreciate the geometry of it since he is a retired high school math teacher... Now I have to go digging in the craft corner and find some 2 sided paper...
