A couple of weeks ago I came across an ornament image online and failed to note which company made it - or even if it is an actual die, or just a stock advertising image. It's too late for me to use it this season anyway, but I am still curious if there is such a die out there. You know how something hangs around in the back of your mind and keeps coming back to bug you?
The ornament was not round but elongated and larger at the top half. It was shown in gold metallic on a solid background base ornament. The die, if there is one!, cut out the outline of the ornament and also had a webbed pattern covering the top half, something like a net over the top. Maybe the webbing came to a point down the middle - not sure.
Please, please, don't spend any time searching for this perhaps mythical die. Just wondering if anyone bought such a die and recognizes it from my lame description.
I have a second set related to the one posted just above, but don't have photos of it.It's also got a larger die and a smaller die, same company. And I probably have more that I'm not remembering right now. Like I said- obsessed!
It sounds like some of the Memory Box ornament dies might fit the bill. Try Googling “memory box ornament die”, click the image tab and see whether any of those look like what you’re seeking! (for some reason I can’t copy and paste the address for my Google image results, sorry)
I do love a lot of those samples, Contrapat. While not the image I have in mind, the intricacy is very nice. I didn't find the manufacturer listed; are the ones like Marvellumous Stampin Up dies?
I have checked a few companies like Memory Box, Poppy, Birch Pr. Don't want to go down that rabbit hole though . . . . .
Sweet Poppy has a stencil and a die of a beautiful Christmas bauble. They are a UK company but there is an American distributor. www.delbellosdesigns.com
