I just started my gallery a week ago. I never knew how to upload a card either (didn't even know how to scan one ...), but finally remembered to ask my husband when he was home for the weekend. I try to add a few cards every day now.
I love seeing all the new things - but who knew?!?! I posted my card in the gallery and now I'm getting all these nice comments! WOW! Thanks showmestamper! This made my whole day! :

Wow, Beth!!! You've really touched many of the lurkers and feint of heart with your post. Excellent cheerleading!!!!! Thank you for doing this. Every new stamper sharing their work inspires all of us. Again, Beth, thank you!

OK, I need to start my gallery. I have been posting comments for awhile but never started my gallery. Probably because I am on here and not stamping LOL!! Thanks for the step by step directions that will help a lot. Will get some cards and try it in the morning.
Hi, I have been a member for a little while now. I have to admit I have never posted anything here. Did not feel anything I made was good enough, I guess. I saw this thread today and decided to go ahead and show post my first thing. Enjoy...
Okay, I did it. I uploaded my very first card and I'm waiting for it to be approved. Hopefully I did it right. I have been a lurker here for quite a while and I've not been confident enough to upload a card until this thread. So, thanks!
Here is my 2nd card, inspired from a card seen in the Stamp It! Cards magazine that had a tea bag. I will send one more reply with the inside to show the pocket for the tea bag.
Beth! Your encouragement to post and your directions are so appreciated! I posted my first upload because of you. I don't think the colors look real accurate, but I will get it with practice on the scanner I hope. Again, thanks. Now I feel like stamping something really special to share.
Here is the inside of the friendship tea card. I am looking forward to what you all think of it, 'cause it was rather nerve wracking to post these 2 first cards!!
I haven't exactly been lurking, cause I have posted a lot. I just haven't posted a card. So here's one! I have only been stamping since January. And now DH has started a gallery for me! Yeah!
Thanks for this thread Showmestamper- you live close to me! I'm on the Illinois side of St. Louis!
When I saw this thread I figured it was time to start a gallery... Here is a stamped cardboard cd holder I did for a cj group- my theme was comfort food. I am actaully going to be reunited with it this weekend at a crop and cannot wait to see what everyone did with their holders and the theme
Wooo hooo, Showmestamper Beth! Thanks for being such a great cheerleader and getting all these new folks to post their work. I am sooooo impressed by the great work I'm seeing that they say is their first card. Wow! My first cards were so pathetic. I can't wait to see more from these talented folks. Thanks for giving them a nudge and thanks to all of them for taking the plunge and sharing their wonderful work! Keep sharing, please!
oh my goodness, ladies! I am so proud of all of you that took the plunge and posted today! You all have so much talent!! I am looking forward to seeing more! MORE! MORE! MORE!
And thank you for saying all those sweet things about me. You all are too kind.
I finally posted one card.....whew....not as hard as I thought it would be. How long does it take to receive card confirmation? How do I post a link in the forum? All of you newbies/lurkers are really great card makers....love the posts.
 Oh, this thread has been fun to read and it gave me hope.....
.....but.......
I am still having problems! I have a scanner and even a digital camera! My problem comes when it is uploading or whatever it does do to the SCS site. I am on dialup (I know! But in our area that is the only thing that is offered to us right now out in the middle of the country timber! Too many trees they say!) It takes FOREVER to do this part. I have even tried it late at night when maybe it's not so busy...but still no luck. The four or so pictures I have added of my stampin space took literally like 6 hours to upload :( I can't keep our phone busy for that long....
In the meantime, I continue to vist here each and every day and drool over all of the awesome creations. I get so much inspiration from all of you!!! Thank You!
Thanks so much for your encouragement, Beth. I've been thinking about posting for a while, but just couldn't summon the courage. I finally did it.... even if it did take 20 minutes and several deep breaths to hit that 'SUBMIT' button! Here you go.....I hope you like it.
I just uploaded a card, but this page didn't come up
Quote:
When the next page comes up, you should see your card on the left side. Fill out the empty boxes with the appropriate information:
Description is a little blurb about it
Keyword: put the technique you used, or certain product if that is a key feature....otherwise you can leave it blank.
Stamps, Ink, Paper, Accessories: put what you used.
Technique: if you used a certain technique, put it here. ....this helps when searching the gallery for something specific
Then hit Process Files and now you really wait....usually this is at least 2-3 mintues.
What did I do wrong?

Also, LeslieS...that page came up with me, too, while I was posting some more cards. What I did was choose a card catagory, but I forgot to actually select the card from my browser.
This is the first forum I have ever joined, but do alot of "lurking" to find new ideas on the web. Am unable to post any cards, but would gladly share any "diamonds" I have found that help create interesting cards. One in particular is the site below on which you can download a free program to create 3D cards. I made a get-well card with a bed and table. Covered the bed in scrap material, put a clipart picture frame above the bed with "Get-Well Soon" in sampler font. Cut out a picture of pajamas copied from an on-line catalog and glued on top of the bed. Cut out a picture of a lamp an glued on the table. Made a tiny pillow of scrap material and stuffed with a wee bit of pillow fill and glued on bed. Really turned out cute. Would would well with the buckle card technique.
