Which do you prefer if you are not in a hurry , SU Classic or SU Craft?
I am in the process of getting inks and I was just wondering which would be my best buy.

I use different ones for different needs. I mostly use classic ink but if I am stamping the same color ink on cardstock (ie real red ink on real red paper) then I prefer craft because the color really pops. So for me I need both. the great thing about SU inks is that you can also buy a color family of spots ( 12 1 inch by 1 inch stamp pads). So I have all of the craft spots and the full sized classic pads.

I think it depends on your intended use and the stamps you'll be using. If you're using rubber then the classic works well. If you have clear stamps, I like a craft ink better. It seems to give better coverage.
I'm noticing that I'm turing to my pigment inks more often than my classic inks. I'm also using Versamagic, Versafine, Colorbox Catseyes more often than I am my SU craft inks. I have one set of SU craft spots and I'm not really that impressed with them when compared to other brands in the mini inkpad size. If you look at the depth of an SU spot it is not nearly as deep as a Catseye or Versamagic Dew Drop pad. I haven't gotten as nice a coverage with my spots as other pads, but then that could just be the spots I have too. Just my 2 cents.
I generally prefer craft ink for the coverage. They are also helpful if you have stamps with large amounts of solid areas (ex. Stinkin' Cute). I'm all about the spots too, so you get greater variety for your hard earned $$.
I use the SU Classic all the time. I have 3 families of the craft not even out of the plastic wrappers just sitting for a few months now. Probably end up selling them on BST or something.
My favorite inks lately are the Pallete Inks...gettinig more and more of those from Papertrey and TAC. Love them.

This is what I have. It is nice to have that option. It is also convient when you do embossing (which I don't do alot).
I prefer the Classic stamp pads. I had all of the Craft pads for years and hardly ever touched them so I sold all of them last year. I have not even missed them once!!
Hmmm. My plan is to get all the classic ink pads I want (almost there) and then buy the craft spots one set at a time. I do like both inks, but the classics are more versatile for cardmaking, IMHO. You can always emboss with versamark.
Then again, I scrap, and it's a pain not being able to use the classics in my scrapbooks (I do "mostly archival" scrapping and want safe, fade-proof ink). So I'll be happy when I get those spots!
