Default Ink color change

I recently noticed some of the images I stamped in night of navy (Stampin up) changed colors. Some of the are a few months old and some are more recent. I am attaching pictures I took right after the card was made and several months after. Anyone else has that problem? What do you think the reason is? Anything I can do to prevent the discoloration? (The cards are stored away from light).

All dye inks fade over time. Some brands more so than others. Pigment inks or hybrid inks are more likely to hold their color over an extended period of time.

A few months seems pretty quick for fading, doesn't it? Did you have it in the light? Not sure where you live, but here the light is very strong. It burns out the decorative solar lights we have! I keep everything out of the reach of the sun, if I can.

I had that happen, with Stampin Up's Pink Pirouette ink. It turned a light tan color within a week. I had SU replace the ink pad and it still happened - we figured out that it was actually the batch of paper I was using. Whisper White had a coating, and the package I had must have been produced incorrectly.
