I often play the role of a fairy at various festivals. There is a fairy festival this weekend in Pennsylvania that I will be at...
And there is a garden festival that I go to and just sit in a flower bed and read a book, blow bubbles or anything whimsical like that....just to amuse people.
I'll have to go find that festival... sounds like fun.
I chose my name because ~ well it says it all. lol My name is really Susie and I'm stamp happy.... but if I could change it I would shorten it. It just looks too big in that little info box.
My niece would look out the window and wait for me to arrive. My sister would build the excitement by saying, "Where is she? Where is she?" Hence, shishi!
Mine is: Marin (Erin with an M) - my first name. Soup - My husband's last name is Campbell so his screen name for stuff is DerekSoup. I played off that while we were dating and started using MarinSoup. My family calls us the Soups!
Ironically enough - I didn't take his last name when we got married - which he didn't like. We still get into heated debates about it and he asks when I will change it. I have many reasons for not changing it but mostly because my maiden name is pretty uncommon in the US. I like having an uncommon name.
Back in 2000 I was starting an ebay account when my husband got deployed to Kosovo. I couldn't think of a name and then it just came to me.. airbornewife ... after all my hubby was in the 82nd Airborne and I was his wife. I use that screen name everywhere that I can so that I can easily remember it. My husband hasn't been airborne in a good many years, but I still keep the name and remember the days of the late night jumps ~ that by far was the best division we were ever assigned to.

I too like boydsbears but only have around 15 of them. My birthday is on the 21st of July also but I'm sure I have many more years on you. I'd like to be 39 again!
When I signed up here I had never signed up on anythnig else so I thought user name was suppose to be my name....

Back in 2000 when I signed up for a Yahoo account I wanted a cool name. I put a lot of thought into it, being the planner person I am, and came up with bluiz2k.
bluiz = blue eyes (which I have)
2k = 2000

I spent waaaaay too much time one day, just trying to think up some cute user name. (I didn't want to just use my name.) So I just thought it would be fun to do a pun on *looking good* by just putting the inky twist on it.
When I joined it was the first time to ever do something like this online. I just used my name. How can I change it to something else that is more creative? I love this site, there are very few people to stamp with in Dinwiddie so I love to get on here and share everyone else's experiences.
Nancme comes from a best friend of my dh when we were getting married-my name is Nance (sound Nancy) but he liked nancme so it just sort of stuck for almost 31 years now. WOW, that makes me feel old. I make mostly cards and I use the name nancenotes just to keep my name in there. I could never think of anything on my own, not that creative, I love your creative juices!
Wow, same birthday and both like boydsbears, that's cool. Never heard of anyone with the same birthday as mine before. Got lots of years put on, 41 this July.....but don't tell anyone lol.......where do you live? I'm in NE PA, just went to boydsbear country on Monday for the Jamboree,,,and added a "few" more bears to the family....they really spoil us there.
Well, I was born in 1966 and am a scorpio. I have one brother and one sister. I have two cats and love to stamp. So naturally I call myself Amy05.
Sorry, couldn't resist. Actually I wanted to quote Steve Martin in "The Jerk" "I was born a poor..." , but I couldn't find the entire dialogue on line and was afraid I'd offend with no intent to.
In all honesty, my name is Amy and my favorite # is 5.
Mine is a combination of three things:
My mom used to say that she was the Queen of Everything and that I was I was the Princess of Quite A Lot. Now that I'm married, I've become the "Queen" Bee comes from the fact that DH says that I am busier than a "Bee" and I need to sit down more. "Jo" is my name. I'm intrigued by some names too. Good thread!
I chose mine after trying numerous variations on my name, Debbie. I finally gave up and used Impress for my favorite rubber stamp store and 5524 - numbers from a phone number I had as a child
It's basically self-explanatory, although I did choose the name 3 years ago while I was a brand new Grammy-in-waiting. A couple of months later, I became a first-time Grammy on April 1, then a 2nd-timer on April 14! Now, I'm currently "in-waiting" again for our 3rd little blessing in September!
Mine is pretty obvious - Karren is my first name and J is the first letter of my surname.
I love the stories about people not wanting to take their husband's name when they married. I have been engaged to my partner for 15 years now and one of the reasons I don't want to get married is I don't want to take his name. He is Maltese and everyone mis-pronounces his surname. It's only 5 measly letters - you'd think people could pronounce 5 measly letters LMAO. Our boys have his name which can cause a bit of confusion, but I'm used to it.
The other reason we haven't got married is that neither of us can be bothered - we believe in long engagements ROTFL. My poor parents have 4 daughters and only the youngest has bothered to get married.
shirolives is my way of remembering my 16 year old cat who passed about 6 years ago. A friend was comforting me and said 'Shiro lives in our memories' and then raised his fist and said emphatically "SHIRO LIVES!"
I loved that cat and he does live in my memories. SHIROLIVES!
I grew up around women that always wore aprons, so naturally I wear one too--ALL the time when I'm home or stamping. My friend even gave me a book all about aprons and their history LOL
Anyway, once upon a time, my kitchen was black/white with red accents and while shopping with a friend at BJs I found a package of 6 RED APRONS! I was thrilled. Especially since I'd pretty much worn out my grandfather's (my gps owned a restraunt) supply.
Since then I've always worn red aprons--except for my black SU apron and an occasional holiday apron. I'd really mess up my clothes now if I stopped wearing aprons!
When I got my first email address, I chose redapron @ xxxxx so my screen names just followed with variations of red apron

mom5boys. pretty obvious on this one, too. At the time, had all 5 boys at home. NO GIRLS :( Seemed our pets were always male, too. The boys are now ages 8, 10, 22, 25 and 26. Now only the youngest 2 live at home. The others all GROWED UP. The oldest two are married and the 22 yr old is getting married this summer. I've been blessed with 2 awesome daughter in laws, another one in July-love her to death already just like the others, and 3 perfect granddaughters and 1 more grandaughter due July 18th. I love the 'men' in my life, but readily admit I'm lovin' finally havin' GIRLS!! SOMETIMES REVENGE IS SWEET! Girls finally outnumber the boys--8 to 6!!!

When I first signed up with SCS, I really had NO idea what stamping was all about. I had just bought a couple of stamp sets from a friend who said to be sure to go to SplitcoastStampers.com. So I did and signed up with my first initial and last name. Later when I realized many of you had screen names, I realized that would be more fun. So I emailed Tech Support here and asked if it could be changed (I had only a few posts at the time). The reply was only if you are using your real name as your user ID, which mine was.
So, Kiko is my adorable Lhasa Apso girl who just turned 5 years old. Don't know why, but I think that name is so cute and no one else had taken it on SCS! It's also nice and short when you have to type it.
Okay, well everyone thinks my name is Dorothyjane from my screen name, but actually my real name is Beverly. The Dorothyjane comes from an old Disney channel show entitled the Torkelsons. The daugher's name was Dorothyjane and I thought the show was cute and used the name. Only I never figured everyone would think that was my name. lol
wow interesting...mine not all that...I had my usual name stamptologist however my password seemed to stop working and I used stampinnuts for years but too many people were confusing me with other people so when my other name wasnt working I had to come up with some thing quick so all I could think of was one of my cats names "sparky" and I love all concepts of "art" so there ya go...... sparkyart! Now I just have to learn more about how this posting stuff works like links and gallery and I will be good to go. I sure am enjoying this site...a lot of intresting reading!

hmmmmmmmmmmmm well I've been to jail about 1,820 times.... it's where I get most of my ideas for stamping (while browsing between prisoners)... it seemed like a logical name:p
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
I love anything mid-century modern, and Jane Jetson is just one of those characters you have to adore. I always crack up when people address me as Janet, though! I think they must be too young to have ever seen the show. :p
I love this thread, by the way. Chedette is my favorite so far.
When I first started stamping I went hog wild! Bought a lot of stuff, spent a lot of time on computer! One day my 36 yo son said "Mom, I think you've gone overboard with this stuff!!" So I thought why not be Grandma Overboard! (didn't like the name Hog Wild)
Mine is kidatheart.
As a Kindergarten teacher and now a mommy I feel I am just a kid at heart. (Especially because I get to play all day at work and at home!)
