and are selecting which free set to get (at least in the US), which set are you selecting?
I really like the Lovely Letters alpha, but I have a Technique Tuesday (provence) that is too similar to get Lovely Letters. I don't scrapbook and I'm thinking that Wild West alpha would sit unused.
So, Define Your Life at $47.95 seems like a good set for a free set! But, would I then "need" Defining Alphabet?
My mind is wasting wayyy too much time on this decision, so ...
someone give me advice...

I'm joining up in Feb. (just as a hobby demo) and am thinking about Define your life as well, since it would be the best set to get for free being that it's the most expensive. I'm just not sure how much I would use it. I guess I could always trade it for something I would use more if I don't end up using it often. I think you could use it with any alphabet and it would be fine. I've been looking at lots of gallery samples with it to get a better idea of whether or not I would use it.
Define your Life is a very versitile set! You can use any stamp set with it and any large size alphabet. Go for it! The value is an EXCELLENT one, especially when you sign in Feb during Sale A Bration and get that FREE stamp set from the catty!
I am getting the Define Your Life set! I was going to order it with my first demo order (30 % off!!!). But when I saw that your get a free set during Sale-a-Bration, I figured free is better! I love how the alphabet stamps look, but I sure do hate cutting them out and putting them together (; Hope that helps!

What's up with everyone joining in February? I was on the SU! site the other day and I didn't see anything yet about Sell-a-bration. Does anyone have a link or something?
SU has announced that if you join in February, in addition to the starter kit, you get to select any stamp set of any value. Since Sale a bration also starts in February but runs through March, joining in February also has the benefit of permitting the new demo to place a first hostess order and get 30% off -- this will fall during SAB AND during the spring mini, which I think goes live in March.

I think you could get lots of use from Define Your Life without the coordinating alpha. Does this mean you are re-signing, Joan? We have missed you on the demo side!

Yes. I think it is the only way I can avoid bankruptcy!! LOL Stick to one company MOST of the time.
Unless I change my mind. Again.

Hmmm....I am thinking Defining Alphabet, lol, but maybe I have to dig deeper and get the most expensive. Whoops, that was the most expensive. I love that alphabet. I am also getting the scrapping add on and have to find another alphabet to get with that.
I always find the hardest stamp sets to pick out are the free ones. Why is that? I have Define Your Life and I love it. I've used it a lot on scrapbook pages and cards. You don't need to have the Defining Alphabet to use it either.
Ok after looking closer, I don't like Defining Your Life. I will be getting Defining Alphabet. I like it so much better. I had some defining words from The Angel Company and rarely used them. Hmmm why can't there be unlimited edits.
