Maybe these do exist already, and I just don't know about them...but I would love dark colored pop dots and neutral colored pop dots, so they would blend in more with some of my projects.
Besides a time turner (like Hermione's - so you can be stamp and be at work or cleaning at the same time) or an ever-lasting glue runner, what stamp-related inventions do you wish existed?

I've searched and searched for the best longterm safe storage for my clear stamps. They are so expensive, and they can accumulate quickly, but we keep having to try to put odds and ends together meant for other things, to come close to keeping up with them. There is just nothing specific out there that's made just for storing these. The best idea I've read so far, is page protectors and binders. That still leaves them flimsy and slippery unless you remove them from their packaging and place on acrylic or acetate sheets that fit the page protectors. I think it's a good idea to leave them on the same acetate sheets and labels they come in to be safe, and keep up with the manufacturer. Not to mention to keep the sets together. But my local craft stores have never heard of acrylic pads that I read about here, so it seems I would have to go to HL and have them cut some down or something, just to make this halfway work. Then I'd still have to record the manufacturer's name. Lots of trouble and work!:( Anyone have a better idea? Also, how to organize them yet keep the sets together and still get to that one little stamp your looking for?!? Thanks for letting me rant here.
Deb Neerman uses black dimensionals on her projects all the time. Not sure who makes them but the info might be on her blog (http://debneerman.blogspot.com/)

I would LOVE to find a plastic file tote w/folders and lid for 12 X12 paper! All I seem to find are for 8.5X11 or legal size. I want to be able to pick it up and go!

I've seen those a Wal-mart. They are clear on bottom and have a blue lid on top w/handle. I believe that they are Sterelite(sp).!?!

These do exist, but I've only ever seen them at Michaels.Maybe someone else will know where else they can be purchased.
ETA: oops, looks like you got your answer before I finished posting.

I have wondered about this too. I was thinking of trying to use my xyron and put perm. double sided adhesive on both sides of a sheet of colored "fun foam" (not sure if that is what it is called). The foam sheets come in so many colors. Wonder if it would work? Has anyone tried this yet?

Yes, ma'am - and it works like a charm. I was doing it because I was out of pop-dots late at night (ok, I had like 3 packs of them - somewhere - but I couldn't find them at the minute) and I had to improvise. What's nice is that the foam not only comes in lots of colors, it comes in different thicknesses.
AND, the fun foam also works for the inner frame on a shaker card. Think how much easier that is compared to trying to use foam tape to outline it and close up all the gaps.
I got my black foammy dots at a scrapbook store. Most stores have a good assortment in the adhesives section.

Thank you, I'll have to check my LSS, which isn't all that local actually, the next time I'm down that way. I haven't seen these at the craft stores I frequent yet (Michaels and Pat Catans).

I'll have to double check Wally-World. Usually the totes I find say 12X12 which turns out to be the inside dimensions of the tote itself fitting only letter and legal size paper. I would think it would need to be at least 13X13 or 14X14. I've looked online, Target, Staples, Office Max, etc....but can honestly say I haven't looked too closely at Wally....

I have seen those totes for 12x12 but what I would love is a two drawer filing cabinet for 12x12... again I can find legal, and normal and I have heard that Cropper Hopper used to do them and not to get the Jetmax cube one... so any extra info would be useful.

What a great idea!! I have quite a few foam sheets here that I haven't been able to get rid of and now I can use it! Thanks for the idea!!
I don't know if you actually CAN do this but I would think if you wanted to you could color with a coordinating marker around the edges of the pop dot. Like stick it to one side of your paper, then color around the edges to match then stick it to your mat?
Is this a good idea? I don't know I've never done it.

A built in beeper for the last thing I used; I'll have it in my hand, set it down, and the next instant, I cannot find it and tear the place apart trying to remember where I put it down! Truth! It's so annoying when that happens. :?

Ditto!!! I've looked EVERYWHERE, and other than the stackable divided cubes, there really isn't any pack and go stuff. I keep my archiver's bags when i get my free paper, and sort them like that. Then I put the one's I need in my travel bag when I go somewhere.
Since we're requesting things, I'd like an automatic craft room cleaner, one that will put away all my scraps and reorganize after every stamping session. Please.

That's so funny that you should write that.
Just today, I used my white dots with a beige word window punch on a brown card and I thought it looked awful so I tried to color them brown while still on the card...I ruined the card :(
That would be great if someone made them in STAMPIN UP COLORS (HINT HINT)

3-d zots are clear - or just layer the non- 3-D ones to get dimension - as they are clear they pretty much blend with anything.
I "try" to clean my stamps as soon as I am done with them. However, in times of rush (like none of us has ever had to rush away from our stamping) I have begun placing my uncleaned stamps back in their boxes with the rubber side up. This is my signal to myself that the stamp was not cleaned after its previous use and needs to be cleaned now.
But yeah, I could go for an automatic stamp washer.

When you find one or invent one, Julie, send me the link LOL. I need one too . Or 3 or 4. Something like those key-rings that whistle back at you, only in miniature and with something that never loses its sticky...what a fab idea.
And yes, funky foam is great when you want colour coordintated dimension. I used it a lot in shaker cards, and I don't even have any sort of die-cutter.

Have you considered the Paper Taker for 12 x 12. It has the dividers built right in. And it velcros shut. I used to keep my paper in that until I got my crop in style 12 x 12 file on wheels. They have that at Create for Less .

I bought a 2 inch binder and use 'EZMount Lightweight Stamp Storage Panels' to store my clear stamps. (The packaging says A Sunday International Craft Product). I have also used 'Stamp and Store' Binder sheets. I index what is in the binder at the beginning by stamping the contents (or taping the picture) to a piece of paper and then slipping it into a page protector. It also helps to separate different sets by drawing a border around all the stamps that belong together with a wet erase marker. I bought my binder pages at a craft show and paid $4.95 for 5 sheets. I really can store a ton of stuff in a single binder and store it on a bookshelf and it takes up very little space. It works for me!

Check these out by Flourishes, clear storage boxes. I just bought some and they are so fantastic. I can put clear stamps on each side with a piece of white card stock in the middle. I store mine in a wire CD rack and they are visible and accessible.
Here is the link: http://www.flourishes.org/servlet/Ca...ING+ESSENTIALS
To the OP:
I know lots of people pointed you toward black pop dots... but I thought I'd add one more. ;)
Texasjodylynn (dirty dozen alumni) runs a sticky sale every so often on her blog. The pop dots are made with red liner tape - super sticky stuff! I bought a couple packs last time - I LOVE them. Here's a link to her blog: http://confessionsofaribbonaddict.bl...icky-sale.html
I think this month's sale is over - but you could email her to find out timing of the next.
