I went rummaging in the car for the scraper this morning...
because there was frost on my windows that I had to scrape off. First day of frost and I'm not too pleased about that.
.... and I realized that my hubby has started his Christmas shopping already! I just found 3 Big Shot dies under the passenger seat. He's such a sweetie, but I am completely bummed that I found them. I would have been floored to find them amongst my presents. Well, at least I can act really surprised.
Now, I just hate that I can't use them for over 2 months.
That was a nice surprise - the dies I mean - not the frost. We're in full winter here in Calgary. About 6" snow on the ground. Driving was fun - NOT! - coming to work this morning.
You're so lucky to get surprises like the dies - my husband lets me get what I want for my card making but he wouldn't have a clue about buying anything for me as a surprise. Buying for yourself is just not quite the same as getting a surprise. (And to make matters worse he can't even cook!)
How fun! My husband is wonderful and I am able to order, but he wouldn't have a clue what to buy either.
What a long time to wait, though! That will be hard!
I feel for ya with the frosty windows - 3 weeks ago it was 90 degrees and now we've got 6 degrees (without the windchill) and snow on the ground - too much too fast!
Your hubby sounds like mine. Today, we traveled to the big city to shop and on the way, he asked for my wish list. So, I told him! Then he told me I'll need to write it down, all the ordering information, etc.
So, he's got my list and now he has the ordering information. Usually he just calls my CTMH and SU consultants (friends) and gets gift certificates! So, this should be a very interesting Christmas!
DH told me from here on in, I'm not allowed to ask what the "blank" carbon copies are FOR and just write the amounts in the checkbook! Nor am I allowed to see the COMPANIES for his debit card, which is a real bummer, I won't even be able to quiz him (which is a major game every Christmas between us!). He said I've just got to take his word for the amounts he spends. I haven't even thought about Christmas yet!
If you want to play the quiz game, the first rule is that you cannot start the game until the presents are actually under the tree.
Next, do NOT start with: Is it smaller than a bread box? BECAUSE, way too much stuff for stamping and scrapping is smaller than a bread box and this line of questioning can go on for days and days (not that DH ever tells me if I guess right - but it's still fun and we laugh alot!).
That is so funny finding your pressies in the car. Like the others, I have to declare complete admiration for a hubby who goes craft shopping for you and gets it right!!!!!! I just know I would give the game away by Christmas - how are you ever going to keep this to yourself?!!!!. My hubbie also loves to get me craft stuff but he needs a very detailed list to get it from!
By the way, quite a surprise but frosty here too today for the first time. (Time to go and pick sloes to make sloe gin). I got up and found I had to break the ice on the outdoor dog bowls.
I am jealous, too! Usually I tell the hubby what I want and he gets me the exact thing I DON'T want, LOL. Gotta love him but man, his gift giving talents aren't so good.
This year, he doesn't know it yet, but he signed me up for the Unity KOTM club. LOL I will break it to him soon, maybe:cool::mrgreen:
Well, I knew that I wouldn't be able to keep it a secret from him... so I mentioned to him, "I was looking all over for the scraper - in the house, the shed, the car - have you seen it?" and he just knew that I found them. i sort of emphasized "in the car" and he knew.
This morning there was a thin layer of snow on the ground and he had the scraper in the car for me, and he's moved the merchandise - so even if I wanted to use the dies, I couldn't. I actually don't know what he bought me - I saw the die with the 4 circles on it, and I didn't look at the rest.

Mine's the same way! He'll tell me how much I can spend and tell me what to get, which is great, but I'd love a surprise. And mine doesn't cook either! He does grill occasionally though.

Mine scrapes the car windows for me in the morning and starts it up so that it's warm by the time I get into it, so perhaps that's my Christmas present, LOL! Granted, if he'd clean his stuff out of the garage I could park in there alongside his car (he drives the kids to my Mum's every morning, so *they* get the warm car!)
Congrats on your thoughtful, insightful hubby. You only have 10 weeks to wait until Christmas!
Mu hubby does manage to buy me a 12 pack of Pepsi each year... other than that, I'm on my own!
The kids are really starting to notice that I dont have anything to unwrap!
