This is a great idea for a wedding gift! The guests can leave their envelope "gifts" inside. It is perfect! I'm sure the couple will cherish it always!
Several years ago, I stenciled flowers on my mailbox with acrylic paints. It's pretty weather beaten now, so maybe I'll stamp the next one.
On a different note: I have a good friend whose sister lost her 18 year old son when a truck crossed the yellow line. There were so many people leaving notes at the grave, that her sister put up a mailbox. The family can go see the notes and they aren't rained on and dirty. I think I may suggest stamping his name and some of his favorite things on the mailbox.
