Heart I received an amazing random PIF!!

I still can't believe it! Someone offered to send me a stamp pad based on a thread she had read. Well it was not just a stamp pad, it was three brand new Versa/Memento pads. She also sent not one but TWO brand new , unmounted SU sets still in the clamshells (Simple Friendship and Sense of Time)...and they are BEAUTIFUL. Oh wait...she sent Prisma pencils, paper stacks, pop dot packs, card bases/envelopes. Again, yes plural...amazing I tell ya!!

I received it yesterday and my jaw is still on my chest! I can NOT say THANK YOU enough!!

These are my first SU stamps and I can't wait to ink them up...I now feel "Official" LOL! Thanks again!!!!!

Also known as a SRAK = Stamping Random Act of Kindness :-)

I also have one of these in progress. I had a posting in the ISO section and a very kind SCS'er is gifting me a stamp set similar to what I was looking for. She refused to take any money for it or the postage (shipping from the UK to Canada). She told me to either donate a few dollars to my favourite charity or to perform a stamping RAK! It totally restored my faith in the world. I will be paying it forward for sure!

I love SCS and the people on it :-)

What a sweet thing to do. She must be a very, very special lady!

I bought two of the same set (they don't call me Twila Twit for nothing) and a SCS stamper offered to buy one of the sets for twelve dollars. I mailed the set but never got the money in a decent time. After several emails back and forth and some confusion this person put forty dollars in my paypal account!! She said it was for all my trouble but trust me it was minimal trouble. I was shocked!!

I recently had an RAK of some CD holders w/o the thing in the middle. I asked about where I could get some of these and a lady said she had some she would send me. She mailed them to me and there was 45 of them! I needed them so badly for all my Spell Binders dies. I couldn't believe it. There are a lot of really nice good people on this site.

Well, your RAK far outweighs mine, but I was surprised to receive a RAK from a NEW COMPANY that I ordered from. I placed a small order from ScraPerfect for her "Best Glue Ever" and the "Embellie Gellie." Also, got her Craft Pouch. When I received the shipment, she had included an extra "Embellie Gellie" and said that I could use it for a RAK to one of my Splitcoaststamper Friends. I had been talking about Splitcoast to her in my emails when I was placing my order. I just thought it was so amazing that a company would send a full size item like that to someone who had just ordered for the first time. Of course, I have so many friends on SCS that I panicked about who to give it to, but right away realized that it should go to "eagles777." She is the one who introduced me to this community. It hardly seems possible that it was just this past Summer that I struck up a conversation with a "stranger" in the craft section of a Big Lots store. Seems like I've been here forever and I've learned so much and met so many wonderful people. Thank you, everyone!

Congratulations, Chelle and may the Lord rain down blessings upon your benefactor!

I am constantly amazed by the kindness and generosity on this site. And I wanted to mention something that happened to me this week.

A few days ago, I got a private message from Amber, owner of Chic and Savvy Crafters.Chic and Savvy Crafters Home Page
She read in a thread that I have only one Spellbinders die and she said she wanted to RAK me one--and I got to choose one to receive!

Today, my package arrived. It has the beautiful Nestabilities Twenty-One die AND a pack of BoBunny paper. It feels so good to be blessed this way. I hope I can continue to pass along similar blessings to others!
I thought you posted this already too Melissa! Maybe I didn't read back far enough?? Or it disappeared! I know I read this before. Deja Vu? LOL

As a followup, my package from the UK arrived :-) I would like to publicly thank Angelnorth for her generosity. I will definitely be doing a SRAK or PIF in the future. :-)

Melissa, your post did show up in my personal e-mail and when I would click on it to view on this thread I could see your Teddy Bear avatar for a split second and then it would disappear. It was like an episode of "Twilight Zone!" I did it three times before I gave up. Looked forward and backward for it and couldn't see the post. It was very strange.

Kudos to your RAK angel!

Leslie,
Kudos to your angel...angelnorth...who also is so wonderful to share her vast compendium of knowledge with us all. Like that word?....Compendium....hopes that the right one! I'm thinking it's a synonym for "vast."

After I posted a second time (that post which has also disappeared) I got a note from a moderator saying she had to pull "another" of my duplicate posts. She made it sound like I had moderators scrambling to clean up my duplicates. Weird.

Anyway, I just wanted to say what a nice group of kind, generous, sharing people we have on this site!

Hi Melissa,
It's always been our policy to remove duplicate posts. You weren't singled out at all - it is something the mods do on a regular basis in the forums.
