Default I need to be referred

...or maybe I'm looking for referrals. Not sure on the phrasing.

I want to sign up to be a demo. When I first had this idea back in the fall, I mentioned it to my old demo (quit b/c she bought a store) and she said I should sign up under her girl and not the current demo we are using. Thought that was a good idea then. When I've talked to this gal, she is SO SUPER NICE but she is more of a hobby gal herself. The more I've thought about it, I realize that I want to sign up under someone with the following to offer:

1. who is in this as a business (so I'm thinking they need to be in the "leadership/manager/upper level" or whatever it is called in SU!)
2. who has been around for a while
3. who has wonderful resources to offer to her team (I've seen so many blogs where I see references that demos make about the "other part" of their blog just for their downline)
4. who has training - beyond the local meeting - for her downline. I want someone who is going to be able to connect with me and share ideas/projects/classes etc even though I am "remote" (b/c I won't sign up with anyone local - that's another long story).
5. who can help me with my stuff as I'm just a hobby/maybe holding "camps" with just a few local girls or help me build it even further should I want to do that in the future

If you have an upline (or if you are the upline) that could meet these needs, please refer them to me via PM. I talked to the one gal about this and I didn't really get the sense from her that this is what I can expect from her upline. I know she is just a hobby demo so I don't expect her to provide those things, but I do want and need them in this endeavor.
I appreciate all the help that you have to offer! TIA!!!

I would suggest using the demo locator to find someone near you. If you are looking for more of a business demo the top demo on the locator likely is since demos are listed based on their sales and proximately to you. Good luck!

Yeah - won't sign with anyone local - that's a long story that I'd rather not get into....but it is what it is.

I understand your situation, completely.
However, in the interest of being fair to everyone here at SCS who is a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I suggest that you explore those listed on your Demostrator Locator. You are always free to ask questions of ANY demo that you contact. It doesn't matter whether that person is close by or far away. It is in your best interest to contact her privately, ask ALL of your questions ... even to the point of telephone communication or IRL visits. This will give you the best "match" for you.

I've been successfull "enough" on my own. My upline quit shortly after I signed on. I tell you this only to emphasize that you can do whatever you ACHIEVE to do. ... your upline is your possible "support" system. But no matter who you choose ... it's YOUR business .. and YOU get to say how you run YOUR business. ;)
