I am helping a friend make some cards to send to his customers. He wants to have them for customers that he hasn't seen in awhile. Something like, "hey, it's been awhile" or "feel free to give me a call" or "we miss you". In my mind I am imagining a telephone image or something to that nature.
I have searched on SCS and done a bit of googling, but I haven't found what I have in my head yet. Can someone's creative brain help me out?
Hey in the Ocassionals mini catalog, they have a time of life (I think) stamping set that has a clock and I think you can make a cute card out of it with some computer generated messages.
Art is intended to provoke an emotion from a total stranger. If youve succeeded in this, consider yourself an artist. Paper Shanks Blog. Love me or hate me, you are still talking about me
The retired Stampin' Up! set "On the Move" has a ringing telephone in it plus a bunch of other cute images. Here's a link to a card made with the telephone: Call Anytime by gohalos1755 at Splitcoaststampers
The set "taking care of Business" on page 153 of the current catalog also has a cute telephone image.
This may be too way out there, but think about it in terms of images you might use for a *missing you* card--
A penguin, or duck, or dog, or cat, or some other kind of animal image sitting all by itself in the middle of the card, with a lot of white space around it, looking lonely. Use your computer to generate a sentiment for the inside with something like "we miss you--give us a call", or "it's been a long time since we've seen you--stop in sometime." Just be careful to avoid anything that looks remotely romantic--you know, with little hearts or something.
It might help to know what kind of business it is. Does he sell items (sporting goods, tires), or services (like insurance, or landscaping)? Do his customers fall mostly into one age group? More likely to be men or women?
You could use four SMALL images that each represent one of the seasons (pumpkin, snowflake, sunglasses, flower). Use the computer to say--no matter what the season, or the reason, we can help with your (fill in the blank with the kind of business) needs.
OR---The current SU! catty has a set called Seasonal Whimsey. It has a stamp that says *Hope everything is going well in your little corner of the world*. Use that on the outside with one of the images. On the inside write "we miss you in ours."
Use the *WANTED* stamp from the Wanted SU! set (plus the other Western-style images from the set) on the outside. On the inside write "we want you to come back.. Please call and let us know how we can be of service to you."
Print miniature calendar pages (from Microsoft Outlook or Publisher or some clip art). Sort of fan them out on top of each other. Use computer to print *it seems like forever since we've seen you*. On the inside print "Now's the time to give us a call..."
Oh well, just some thoughts to get your creative mojo going...
