I just ordered supplies to make my Christmas Cards - my 2012 Christmas Cards!
LOL! Am I the only one? The tree just came down, the decorations are put away and I have eaten the last of the Christmas candy.
However, the memory of spending the ENTIRE weekend before Christmas hand watercoloring 50 cards is still fresh. I'm not doing THAT again! No time like the present to get started, right?
Tell me I am not alone!

I am making 2012 holiday cards as well! LOL Love the Christmas holiday, and am still in the spirit (even though the holiday has come and gone). It helps keep the holiday alive in my heart! ha!
Flourishes had a boxing day discount that I used to get the Christmas stamps I have been wanting so I ordered then and when they get here I will be starting my Christmas cards. My goal is to make at least 5 Christmas cards a month so that when December 1st comes I can get the cards all sent out instead of waiting until the week before Christmas to get it all done.
Check out the Challenges Section. There is a Christmas 2102 Challenge going on. Maybe it will be of help to everyone
I was going to suggest the same thing. This will be my second year in CCC12 and I found it so helpful to do a few a month and have them ready when December came around. I signed up for 6/month and I already have 4 of my 6 done for the month of January 2012! My next challenge is to actually use all of the new Christmas stamps and supplies I've bought before I buy anymore Christmas themed items.

I'm totally with you! On New Year's Eve, I put in my order But it helps that I have an "Every Season Snowflakes" project this year, so I stocked up on snowflake stamps and paper punches. I plan to continue buying snowflake themed stamps all year though ;)
I actually am thinking about it. I didn't make cards this year and have so many ideas not yet put down on paper. Maybe I will join the earlybirds this year. Cheers!
Another fun thing to keep the Christmas Merry-ment going is Smilyn Stef's blog that she co-hosts with her friend Lauren. It's called "Jingle Belles Rock", and they post challenges all year. Last year they hosted a new challenge every week, but this year they're doing every two weeks instead. Still - that's AT LEAST 24 cards done before December! They already have the first challenge up: No Time Like the Present(s)! Fun times!
I am going to a stamping gathering in March and that's my plan - make my Christmas cards for 2012!! (Maybe birthday cards, too.) I'm not very good at mass production but in that type of environment I think I can do it. I will probably still have a few individual special designs that I may wait and do closer to Christmas, but I'm at least going to make sure I have enough "standards" to go around and send out in November 2012 (vs. the day after Christmas!).
Someone on here, I won't venture a guess!, mentioned once that she sells her Christmas stamps every year and gets something new. Not sure if I can do that -- at least I have to USE each of my present Christmas stamps first, so it may take me a couple of years! But it's a pretty sure bet there'll be something new each year that I'll love, so I may even adopt this idea as well.
I love making Christmas cards right after Christmas. The ideas are so fresh - and there is no pressure - This year I started the year with about 34 cards done the previous Christmas. I'm another one with more Christmas stamps than I can ever possibly use!
We did a Christmas card stamp camp at our church last month.....I was one of the designers. I had already made my personal cards. I liked a couple of the designs I came up with so much, that I'm going to use them for 2012. I'm sure I'll be starting on them soon.
Every year I fall in love with something new for Christmas cards! So I just bought the stamp and die that I will be using for this year and when I walked into my LSS on Friday, she had the perfect paper I wanted at 25% off!
Yes, I am starting on my 2012 Christmas cards!

I start my Christmas cards in January and make several each month and usually have them all finished by the end of October - except for my husband's card - I finally made his Christmas eve in between baking my one and only batch of Christmas cookies! My only excuse was that I was sick the first two weeks in Dec and then DH got sick too!
I started on mine last year right after Halloween. That's an early record for me! I make all one style, so once I get one down, it's easy to recreate.
Still, I'm looking at the sales for Christmas papers now!
I have started thinking about making them. I want to get Valentine's Day and Easter stuff done with first. Then concentrate on Halloween and Christmas.
Well more power to anyone who starts on the next year's Xmas cards right after this year's Xmas! But oh no, count me out. I don't want to even think about Christmas now, again, still, much less look at one more penguin, reindeer, snowflake, snowman, mittens, etc.
I'd rather spend my time getting a headstart on eating Valentine candy. LOL
Here's another vote to joining the Christmas Card Challenge here on SCS! 2011 was my first year and my goal was to make 10 a month so I could have my 100+ cards ready to go the beginning of Dec. It was awesome not rushing to finish them and get them mailed out. I sat and watched a Christmas movie while addressing the envelopes and mailed them out. I had plenty for teachers, bus drivers, my customers, family friends etc.
And the best part is that I made a different design for each month so I didn't get tired of doing the same thing 100 times. It was fun to go back and see the designs I had made at the very start of 2011...it was almost like I forgot I had made them!
I haven't ordered any new supplies, but I do plan to start this month on Christmas cards. My goal is to make at least one Christmas card a month. Not a lot, but better than nothing. 2012 will be the first time in more than a decade that I'll send out Christmas cards.
I think I'll check out the Christmas 2012 challenge to see if it's something I could do.
I bought the stamps I needed for my 2012 Christmas cards from the B/S/T thread.
I have vowed to start them over the summer but it's hard to make Christmas cards that time of the year when you live in San Diego and the weather is hot and sunny :p

I fell in love with a SU! set and didn't really decide to buy it till it was too late to use it this year, so I have it for next year, and I'll be using it for sure!! I'm also in a Christmas Card front swap (5+1) so I'll be making and getting Christmas card fronts all year long.
