The front has my initials. The left and right sides say, "G is for genuine. W is for wonderful." From that hostess set. On the back It says "Just be U." I did the kiss technique on the "U" and the "C" in my initials.
I also did a lot of polished stone. I actually just did a whole sheet of polished stone and used it on all the sides and checkbook cover.
Too cute, Consuelo! I didn't think about making a new checkbook cover to match my purse . . . guess that's on my list tomorrow! Thanks for the inspiration.
Jenn, you better post pics of yours -- can't wait to see what you do!
That's FABULOUS!!! Perfect job, and I love the techniques you've used. DA BOMB!
I bought one to do up for my SIL for her birthday (which is Christmas day). Was that wrong of me? Should I be "*****ding" it for myself? Even though I have no where here to carry it so that it could be fully appreciated??
(Please note these are rhetorical questions that do NOT require an answer. Actually, don't answer me. I might not like what y'all have to say!) LOL! ;)

Sharon, I saw yours on Sat! It's gorgeous, too. Have you posted pics of it?
Consuelo (lips pursing), yours is fabulous, too!!! These things are new to me...where do you buy them?

Consuelo, this is absolutely gorgeous!! Thanks for putting in thumbnails 'cause I cannot get into the gallery right now!! I just love the colors that you used for this--awesome job! I've got one on my Christmas List, too!!
Wow, you did a great job!! I was wondering how long you have had your purse and how much you have used it. It is too expensive for my blood especially if it scratches easy. If you think it holds up well, I might have to put it on my Hanukkah wish list and hope for the best.

Honestly I haven't had it very long and I just decorated it 2 days ago. In the interest of conserving gas, thanks to Hurricane Rita, I haven't been any where in that time. However, I have read on another thread that it doesn't scratch easily. Someone said they dropped theirs in their garage w/o a scratch.
Your purse is just absolutely gorgeous. Love the polished stone. Thanks for sharing and the info. on where to get one. I'll check it out. It may be a great gift for a friend of mine, or better yet, a gift for ME!!!! Love the idea that you can change out the design whenever you want to. Thanks, Donna
can i ask which of the methods you use with your background stamps? that french script is far clearer than any attempt i've ever made with it. which makes me curious how you do your background stamping.

I used classic ink. I like to brayer the color onto the BG stamps I get much better coverage.
then do you put the stamp to the paper, or paper to the stamp - if that makes sense? and i do think i need to start using the brayer to put ink on the stamp, i don't do that now and maybe that is part of my problem!

thanks for the answer!
Stamp to paper, and a press REALLY hard. You can even try butt stamping. I've even heard of people putting it on the floor and stepping on it. Personally I don't think it's that crucial. Just some good even firm pressure.
i have one. i had to get it, now i don't know what to do with it! i bought one to give my sister for christmas and i don't know what to do with hers either. arrrrrgggghhh! help!
