I like using Beacons 3 in 1 wet adhesive for anything that would require a glue dot. Works awesome, dries clear and you only need a really little bit for maximum staying power. It's also WAY cheaper in the long run than glue dots.
I had the opposite experience. Zots wouldn't come off the roll at all for me. To the point where they actually partially tore my cardstock rather than popping off the roll. I've used only Glu-dots after a couple of frustrating boxes of Zots.

I have had the same experience with Zots. I wont buy them anymore. Love Glu Dots!
Interesting thread - I've never used zots. I don't know why - but Glue-dots work fine for me. Most of the time I use mono-multi for my glue, but will use glue-dots at times.
Glu-Dots. I love the sheets that they come on, that I can tear the little squares apart. The rolls are a pain in my humble opinion. They don't come off and if a friend borrows them and tears the extra empty paper off too short, then dots are exposed that get stuck on everything.
I can get Glu-Dots really cheap now, so I have stocked up.
I have had no problems with either one. I use whichever one I can get on sale!
Use them for - primas, buttons, bows, anything small that doesn't adhere well with the ATG - small embellishments, fabric covered anything, etc - attaching my embellishment to the 4' paper clips for bookmarks.. I could go on & on
I use the zots because they are larger..I mean that they are thicker for more dimension to things I like to pop...please correct me if I am wrong ladies that the glue dots dont have the "height" for the dimension that the Zots do. That is what I have found and why I use the Zots brand in the yellow box the most...
blessings.
Amber, Glue Dots do make a thicker version if you want a higher dimension, but I think they are just in a larger size, like close to 1/2" diameter. I have some here. I love those for flowers. The rest I think are all thin.
I am also not a fan of glue dots. To add dimension, I prefer foam adhesive. And, for flat mounting, I LOVE my refillable Tombow dots adhesive tape runner (not sure if that is the official name)... just wish the refills were less expensive!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE all forms of Glue Dots. I use either the regular, minis, and pop dots on every creation!!! Truly great stuff. I cannot stand the Zots. I tried a roll and never bought another one. I also do not use the Glue Dot rolls--I use the sheets. SO nice and easy to use!

I much prefer Glue Arts "Adhesive Squares" and the "Mini Adhesive Squares" because they're super thin, flexible and SUPER strong. I used to use Glue Dots but they started to drive me nuts.
I love Zots and GD's, but the Zots sometimes need an extra squeeze before I use them... I press down on the Zot to make sure it won't peel off weird. I like using them for buttons.
Glue dots! I had several sizes of Zots that I bought when I couldn't locate Glue dots a few years ago...did not like Zots at all because like someone else's experience, I couldn't get them to come off the roll. Ruined several items before I gave up and used glue. I will say that when I emailed the company about the time I was having with the Zots, they sent me several fresh boxes free. But I'm still a Glue Dots girl
I threw out my zots. They never came off the release paper. I love glue dots. I find using my ATG gun to make my own a bit of a pain and I stock up on glue dots w/coupons or on adhesive sales.
