Default I found the perfect stamping surface!

My Scrapbook table is rather cheap, so it has some "give" when i push down on it. Not good for stamping! So I have been using another surface for stamping, but I would prefer to use my work table.
I found a great solution! I have this super thick wooden butcher block from Target. I get perfect images every time, and it has absolutely no give! Only thing, it has a few cut marks. My next trip to the store, I am gonna pick up a new one just for stamping.

Vicki

Good idea! I am not able to produce a good image on my table also. I like this idea. No running around the house with ink pads I can very easily drop on my new carpet. Thanks again

Same problem here. I use a large, thick acrylic cutting board I got at Walmart for $4.

Same here. I use a glass mat with 2 pieces of fun foam on it.

All very good ideas when your table is not steady. Great thread.

I use a Corian cutting board, but pretty sure any will work... And they are easy to clean!

That's a great idea! My table is a kitchen table from IKEA that was on sale, so it's made out of wood and pretty sturdy already, but I do have the Precision Mat from Basic Grey on top of it and I always craft on it now that I have it. It probably wouldn't help with a table that has a bit of give because the mat is soft and not sturdy, but on any other kind of surfaces, it's a great tool to have.

Thank you for the tip. I noticed this just the other day when I stamped.

I bought a glass cutting board at Walmart when I bought the Curvy Cutter system. Now, my glass cutting board doubles as a work surface as well.

Not only will the glass mat help with stamping, but also allow for a better surface for suction if you have a Cuttlebug. No more leapin' bug!

I stamp right in my living room on a tv tray. DH gave me an old wood cutting board and my stamp mat from Joannes fits perfect on it. It is amazing what we can find to stamp on!!!
