Default I CLEANED!! Kitchen/Stamp Room....

I have seen quite a few posts on storage for those like me who do not have their *own room*. I finally cleaned my table off and put everything away yesterday...and thought I would share my *room* with you.

It really is only a matter of about 2 minutes to take out....and 10 minutes to put away...(scraps and bitty rhinestones on the floor omitted!!).

Anyway, I am just so glad to have it CLEAN for one day, that I thought I would take the opportunity to share.

WOW!!!

you have a very nice space! very well organized and you also have a nice big table to work on.

i got my little 'rubber room' cleaned and reorganized too! it had been 2 years since the last overhaul and i have accumulated some new toys and added a lot of stuff... needed to 'tweak' it.

i told myself i wasn't allowed to 'play' till it was done!

I GOT TO PLAY YESTERDAY!

maybe i can get the pix updated in my gallery. i looked back and some things changed and some stayed the same...

How nice, Cher!

It takes a lot of organization to have a dual purpose room. Good for you!

Such a nice set up!

Default Love your space

You are soooooooooooooooooo organized! Love it!

I do not have a dedicated room for stamping either, but I have "stolen" a corner of our family room and basically have a room within a room. It seems to me that you have almost enough room to do something very similar to what I have done in your area.

What if you used a nook type of seating for your table? You can then have the table in a corner, like a nook, and then partition the other part of the room and put up a smaller table with the cabinets around it to make an area?

Here is the link to my online album of my craft area, and here is a link that shows how it looks within the family room. Since that last picture was taken I have added more storage on the walls (as the first set sort of shows)

It is a small area, but it makes it nice so that I do not have to clear the kitchen table every time we want to eat : ) (before creating the space my entire family was getting a bit angry with me as I had taken over the kitchen eating area.)

Looks good!! I am a HUGE fan of organizing. I LOVE baskets to store stuff. You can be organized without having to work too hard. I also have the Making Memories Carousel, it sits right on my desk right in my reach. I also use towel bars, but I use my for my SU big punches.

I should post those pics.

I am amazed that you can keep such a open and active spot so neat!! Way to go.

Pam

Vowing to post more of SCS in 2009!!

Cher I absolutely love your crafting area. It is beautiful and uncluttered looking. It is fit for a magazine and so cozy!

It is so neat and organized! I really need to work on my space. I have started sharing my daughter's toy room, which was already busting at the seams. I hope one day I can have it so neat together.

Thanks for all the compliments girls! It makes it worth cleaning! Many of my ideas I got from SCSers, some modified to fit me....so hopefully I can pass on a little inspiration!

Wow! One of the reasons I would have problems using a space for multiple purposes like you do is that I am not as well-organized....it sure works for you! It's beautiful and neat!

What a wonderful, cozy space, Cher! I love it!

Before we converted our fourth bedroom into a family craft room, we did all of our crafting in the dining room. Honestly, I still end up at the dining room table sometimes, especially if I'm working on a large project.

Enjoy your nice, clean space!!

I did the same thing over the holidays - I moved my stamping room from upstairs to our unused office downstairs. It was a ton of work but I love to go in and stamp now.

You can see before and after photos in my gallery:

This is truly amazing cher! it's so functional yet, warm and inviting at the same time. I LOVE the way you have everything so nicely arranged. It really works! and doesn't look out of place at all! To be honest, I wouldn't want my own room as long as I could have this cozy little space. Very nice! TFS! :p

I love rustic...with kids, it just makes sense...they can only *distress* it more...LOL I am sure you totally get that with all your boys!

Love your space! My scrap area also dubs as a guest bed room and holds my exercise equipment. So I feel you on not having your own room.

I do not have a seperate room either. I live alone but my house is only a one bedroom. Although my house isn't necessarily small, I've a large kitchen/dining/open space area that would be like the size of 4 average size rooms. Since I don't have family, I don't have a dining area set up and when I do have family over for dinner we pull one of my 6 ft tables out. My house has a ton of windows, which I love but leaves no wall space of length for me to put any shelving up. I've two cabinets on one wall, paper stored underneath, a ribbon holder on one of my tables with other machinery and then storage draws for other stuff. I don't keep it neat most of the time and it's the first area people see when they walk in, that whole area. My laundry closet is there too so when I'm in the middle of laundry, messy looking. I don't mind cuz it's a pretty big space and I can multi-task, dinner, laundry, stamp. Most of my company knows about my "mess". I love my house and the peacefulness of it out in the middle of no where.

You're area looks awesome and so organized. I also love your furniture, very nice looking, rustic is what I like!

Your room looks great...so neat and organized, but still useable as a kitchen. I also spent some time looking at your blog and your cards. You're work is really lovely!

You have a great space, so organized. I have my own studio but I am in the middle of re-organizing and adding storage units so I can barely walk in there. But I hope once I finish it will be as neat and organized as yours.

I commented on your blog, as well, but just wanted to say that I LOVE your room! I use a room on the main floor of my house that's adjacent to the living room (should be a formal dining room) and I've been trying to figure out how to make supply storage look nice. I bookmarked your blog post for future inspiration!
