Default How to mount All In A Row - Stampin' Up

I am going to mount this stamp set. I see there are four blocks and 8 images. I am thinking seriously of separating all of them and mounting one on each long side of each block. How are you mounting yours? Are you putting both that go togetther on the bottom and just using markers? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Tammy

I split mine up, but it is hard to mount it straight. It was one of those sets I HAD to have, and now I want to get rid of it!

Hi Tammy,

I cut mine up, but wound up regretting it. I like the look of the two rows together and it's much harder to do seperately. Also, it was harder to get them straight.

Ditto, ditto, and DITTO! When you cut them, the strips are so narrow that they wiggle and bend trying to put them on the block. What a pain! I'm contemplating buying a new set, lol. I do like the stitching one.

Thank you all so much for giving me this advice. I think I will mount them the way they were intended. Two together on each block.

Happy Stamping

Thin or small stamps often wiggle when on thick mounting cushion or foam -- I plan to cut this set but will either use w/o foam or with a thinner foam.

Default Split up All in a Row - use the bare rubber for no rock

I split mine up ... BUT I didn't mount them on the foam or blocks. I use the bare rubber attached to an acrylic mount. I have a 1 x 6 inch acrylic block with the tack'n'peel permanently attached to one side especially to use with my "ribbon" stamps. If the stamp in bare rubber, then I adhere to the tack'n'peel side: if the stamp is acrylic, then I use the opposite side of the block.

It works like a charm. ... doesn't rock at all.

I almost always stamp with a piece of fun foam under my paper, but I'm not sure that it's necessary since the acrylic mounts don't warp like wood can.
