Girls You have me beat by a long shot. I only have 28 set and I have been stamping since july of 2004 . My DH says that at least my hobby is harmless and I know he doesnt want me to start counting all his motorcycle parts and airplane stuff.

I have about 25 Stampin' Up! sets and 23 TAC sets. Then about 50 other stamps from Mike's, and Hobby Lobby.

I've been stamping for about 2 years. But here lately I think the addiction has gotten worse!

I have a little more than 60. I just counted my bookshelf, and there are 60, some are buried on my table, and I have three ordered. I bought my first stamp sets in the fall of 2001 from CTMH, then fall of 2002 I discovered Stampin' Up!! When my 2003 tax return came in I spent a TON on stamps, ink pads and markers!! Now I have tons of cardstock, too. I think I'm more addicted to the cardstock than the stamps!
My upline has walls and walls of stamps!! My 60 sets take up three shelves on my bookshelves, so I can only imagine how many sets she has on those walls!!

I have 95 sets. I have both retired and current. I really need to B/S/T a few that I no longer use. I am glad to see there are people with more than me. I just love to stamp! I have been stamping since 2001. I do have some that aren't SU, but they are in a drawer. I just don't use them as often.

Hurray for Renee3-I thought 97 stamp sets in 14 months was a lot-You've made me feel much better. Hubbie's glad I've found something I love to do.

I have no DH. I have bought ~220 sets in the past year and a quarter. There's only 30 or so more sets on my wish list for this year's catalog. Never thought to count the wheels...

I've been stamping since January 2001, a demo since June 2002. I have:
93 current sets
1 Tag it! Angel Policy name stamp
9 retired sets (I only keep them if I'm POSITIVE I'm going to use them for scrapbooking)
6 current SAB sets
15 sets "in limbo" (current hostess sets & sets from mini catalogs. I'll keep them if they're in the next catalog, if not, FS/T)
12 unmounted sets in my "stash" (sets I give as recruit incentives or divide up & use as booking incentives, hostess gifts & door prizes.)
4 non-SU! name stamps (one for each of my two kids, me & my husband, used in scrapbooks)

DH really doesn't have a clue how much I've spent (and neither do I), but he doesn't pay for any of it, so why should he care? Will work for stamps! :P

Reading over this thread, I hope that all of you with 200+ sets are demos. If you're not, you should be just for the discount. I have a good selection of incentive sets and you can choose one for free if any of you want to sign up under me .

Well, I've been stamping for nearly ten years now and currently have 400+ sets (that's all I will confess too). I am seriously addicted and of course, stamp companies (including SU) regularly come out with new sets you just can't live without!!!

Wow....I'm surprised how many sets I do have after I counted! 103 sets and 15 wheels both current and retired. I learned about Stampin' UP in 1997 and I'm not a demo.

Whew! Only 94 SU! sets plus 2 personalized stamps. I was afraid to count. That's about 9 a month since I've only been stamping for a year. At least 9 of those are SAB sets that I got for free last year and this and then 4 free hostess sets plus lots free in hostess dollars. (Of course, I'm not justifying how many I have or anything!)

whoa - staggering numbers out there!

I counted last week & it was 125 current. I think just a few retireds I really intend to use for future scrapbooking

I started my SU! collected Jan 2003 - 2 years ago & it didn't take long to get addicted - but I am more apt to get accessories over sets usually!

LOVE those chalk inks!!!

current: 191 - I'm afraid to count others... I was going to take a guess before I counted - and was going to put 130 -- of the 191, I have 6 more that are DUPLICATES! :(

I have 126 sets, became a demo last may, at that time I only had about 10 sets I think.

My husband collects and races CARS (yes, more than one of them) though, so my hobby is NOTHING compared to his!!!

I cannot tell you how much this thread has calmed me - lol! I feel like the baby of the group - I just counted and I have 16 sets. I was introduced to SU and all the glorious goodness that is stamping this past July. I have a handful of non-su stamps that I have bought or recieved as gifts. I have been fighting the growing obsession within me, but now I see that it is a losing battle so I am going to just give in. Get out of my way, I am going to get my catty!!! Woohoo!!!

Let's see - I bought my FIRST stamp set back in 1995 (6?) and its still unmounted - I mounted part of is and so HATED that set - I ahve no idea why I bought it!

I then moved a few times and never really gfot into it until 1999. (I had to look - what was the oldest IB&C did I have?!)

I then counted my sets ..... - totally shocked....

I stopped counting at 84 - I think I have a few most in my basement....

in the process of moving my stamp junk around and organizing.

Wanna know something REALLY sad......

I'M NOT A DEMO!!!!

And yes - my husband knows what I own as when I am "creating" he will often tell me - What about including that set..... yadda yadda....... on this one.

He is creative and has an eye but would NEVER actually TOUCH ink to stamp to paper! OH the horror look I got when I even mentioned it to him!!!! LOL!

SO there ya have it..... maybe I need to call my insurance guy and look int a rider on our policy!!!

EDITED TO ADD: This does NOT include my wheels or other misc NON SU stamps that I own!

Smiles

HOLY CRAP!

63 current sets
26 retired
15 wheels

3 of 4 color families - inks, papers, refills (working on the 4th with my club orders).

Don't even get me started on things like punches, accessories, and embellishments.

Yes, I have some non-SU stamps, but rarely even look at them.

I'm obsessed with crafting and stamping!

Remember, when DH starts complaining, do what I do. Use Beer Math (or Tool Math). It goes like this:

Him: "How much did that large box from SU cost?"
Me: "Well, it would be about 3 weeks worth of your beer, honey"
Him: "How much is that?"
Me: "Less than a new tablesaw, but more than a hammer"
Him: "I'm glad you enjoy your hobbies too honey"

LOL

Hey Darla, I know it's insane!!! It really just kind of snuck up on me. I just started buying every set that I thought was cute. No rhyme or reason. All of a sudden I added up what I bought and I was like "Oh my gosh!!!!" Of course I'm still paying on the credit card for it. That's okay though. My hubby even went out and bought me a big cupboard to store them all in. He has his electronics, I have my stamping. Good to hear from you!!

Seems like a prudent course of action! By way of accumulation time, I went to my first workshop 4 years ago and became a demo last April.

Default uhmm, maybe 50 so far

Hi Girls:

I must agree with whoever said "I'm pleading the 5th". I do think I have 50 sets so far in my collection. My husband must have a feeling because I cannot seem to contain the overflowand.

I started in December 2003 with Rubber Stamping. Then I became a Demo in June of last year and I became an "addict". It is so much fun though to check things off the long "wish list".

Happy Stamping!!

I love what qcbetty wrote.........

My hubby has fishing things...... $1,200 spay rods.......$400.00 reel for the spay rod....$60.00 for special line......and thats only one rod. Last Christmas he got a Gotti rod from me which cost over $400.00.......
Lets not mention the $250.00 light weight reel he had to have for that perfect balance. Well thats only 2 rods...........I dont even wanna think about the other 8 or so he has. Lets not forget the float boats, coolers, vests, waders, boots, hats......Im drawing a blank. Along with all the fly tying items he needs. But beads, wire, and those lovely feathers are always items Im telling him he needs......hehe some end up on the cards. But I didnt say that. He is wonderful about my hobby....and always telling me I need to play. He never says NO even when I ask him to pull me out of the stores.

Default How many stamp sets

I have been stamping for about 3 years now and have about 80 SU sets and various other sets. After reading how many sets some others have, I don't feel so guilty any more for all the time and money I have spent. As a matter of fact, I think I need more sets!

Ok now I really feel like an addict. I have 38 sets and have arriving in a couple weeks 20 more sets, this include all the SAB sets. Here is the bad part! I only started Stamping in October 2004!!!! I would say I am hooked! rofl

Funny post for me for today...I just listed them all last night so I could use the labelmaker at work today. 55 sets. I only really started in march, but I did atted one SU party in 2/02 and got 2 sets. Those sets sat in a closet until this past march ('04) though.

I have been stamping since the early 80's. Just SU sets I have way over 150 sets and you can imagine all the other stamps. It is can be very overwhelming sometimes when I'm looking for a certain stamp. My husband and I have an agreement that if I go to his stores with him and let him buy he will go to my stores (or out of the catalog) and let me buy. It has worked out very well this way. Neither ones of us complain about the amount we spend. But we always pay cash for our things so we are not in debt. The only way to go!!

Including the sets I have on the way, I have 47 stamp sets. Which is kinda bad considering that I only started stamping in June 2004. But I do almost all of them. If I didn't, I would be more concerned!

I have 72 sets with 3 more on the way. I have BOUGHT many more than that, but I sold my retired sets after convention the last two years. (Pays for that huge new catalog purchase I always make!) As for how long I've been collecting, I just passed my two year anniversary as a demo with Stampin' Up... I signed up at the first workshop I attended (about gave my upline a heart attack! LOL!) and got my kit before I got my order from the workshop (LOL again!!!)
