How many stamp sets do you have and how long has it taken to
accumulate your collections? I bought my first SU set only a few months ago. From the stamp room photos I've seen, it seems like everyone has tons of stamp sets! Looks like I'm going to have to make some space in my craft room...... as I've caught the stamping bug!!!
Well, I started with about 20 sets. Then I became a demo in October, and just counted and I have 75 sets. As you can tell, I enjoy buying stamp sets. Those are all current. I have more on the way. I am an addict. HAHAHAHAAAA
I bought my first SU set (Wonderful Wings) in 2001. The next year I bought 1 more set, then 3 sets just before they retired. Then the obsession began. But I still only have about 65 sets
I've been stamping for 15 months and I have 97 stamp sets. This is the first time I have ever counted tham all and I'm shocked that I have that many. Some have never even been used. This seems to me a sign of the trully obsessed/addicted. I'm not even a demo-just a customer. And there's no stopping me now!
Someone, somewhere, asked this the other day, so I went and counted mine. I have 284 sets plus 31 Christmas-only sets. This includes background sets (only one stamp) and alphabet sets.
I started stamping just about six years ago.
I've only been a demo for six months, and a hobby demo, so I don't separate out my retired sets.

I have been stamping since SAB 2002 and have 76 stamp sets, not including the ones I still have up for trade in B/S/T. Every once in a while I go through my sets and sell/trade those that I just haven't warmed to, but I always manage to replace those. Right now I am concentrating on getting my paper and accessories. And I am addicted to this site!
Hmmm I am not sure, I would guess I have about 30 or 40, bearing in mind I am not supposed to have any LOL seeing that I live in the UK I dont think thats bad. I have collected them over about 5 years, if I was a demo I would have loads more but shipping them over here makes it expensive... right now I am off to count them to figure the real number LOL
Mine are discontinued and current, I keep them as I like them, I have lots of old favs such as stella stamper (from the first release), and others but I have gone blank....
Oh my goodness ladies - some of you need to take out an insurance policy on your stamps. I have 66 sets at the moment. I have been collecting since 2001.

How many?
Whew! I just giggled when I read your topic question. I just thought the other day I have TOO many, some I've never used yet, and others I've forgotten about.
I have sets in the kitchen, living room, and office. (I don't have a stamping spot except for the kitchen table!) :?
But soon I'll have my own little corner of the living room! :D yipeeee!
I learned about SU in 2003.
I just counted mine...I have 60 sets. I just had a workshop this week (I'm not a demo) so I'll be getting several more soon! I went to my first workshop in 1997, but didn't REALLY get hooked until 2000. This is why I love this website...whenever I feel like the only one who loves stamping so much, I come here and find thousands of like-minded people!
Last time I took the time to count........over 300. Probably like 350 now. I am totally obsessed. I have tried to curb that obsessiveness recently--I am running out of room! I signed up to be a demonstrator over 5 1/2 years ago. Before then, I had one workshop and bought several hundred dollars worth, mostly stamp sets.
I have right around 300 sets. What makes that bad is that I have only been stampin since December 2003. I have only been an demo since May 2004. What can I say, some people are addicted to drugs or some other expensive hobby, I'm addicted to stamping! My DH has an idea of what I have and what I have spent, but he never complains or says anything. He's so great!!!!
I just started with SU about a year agao and I do call it my collection. I think I have about 50 sets, some current some aren't. All of them are SU!!
I never even stamped with them until I really got into this site and started checking out all the beautiful cards that everyone makes.
Thanks for the motivation and I will keep collecting!!
Mary
I have 156 current sets plus 36 retired sets. When I got started I just kept buying and buying and buying.......I have since tapered off (well, not really).
Hey, Heather - This is the first time I've caught you on another thread. 300 sets, Girl?!? I'm afraid to go count mine. I've only been buying stampin' up since 2003 but I know I have way too many sets. I have drawers full of non-SU stamps too.

Hi!
I've been with SU since 1994. I used to go to non SU conventions and picked up some there. A local stamp store had it's own line of stamps, I never missed a sale. Then over time as I accumulated a lot of stuff I only purchased SU, especially when SU went with it's exclusive line of stamps. I also have a lot of Clearsnap and SU's wheels. I have a set of stamps from a Printing Set from 1932, images, words, letters and numbers. This is a way cool set for collage work. Friends and customers have stopped stamping and given me their stuff.
Please don't tell DH, but here are my numbers I have 6,387 total images, of which there are 406 SU sets, 112 single images (backgrounds and such) and 46 wheels. The balance of my collection are stamps, wheels and sets from different companies.
And no, I don't sell off my retired sets. I will sell or trade sets that I receive from the ones who stop stamping if they are duplicates of images I have. I'm addicted, sorry, but I have so much fun.
I cant even begin to count....even though that are all at fingertip in alphabetical order, I dont wanna have heart failier. But I would say I have
about half the book (Dont have much of a wish list anymore).... and only been stamping about 3 years and Im not a demo.... I have a very supportive Hubby.
Good thread, I just received my 100th set yesterday (See With the Heart from winter mini) from the brown truck. My husband just shook his head and asked how much I thought I had spent on stamp stuff. I look innocent and say I don't know honey, he comes back with $500. I just nod and say somewhere around there (yah right!). I have been a demo since August of 2003 and usually I am my only customer, never not met my quarterly minimum yet plus some. Hope he never starts to really add it all up
I went to my first SU workshop in November 2003, and started buying in earnest in Feb of 2004. I became a demo in July 2004. I have about 80 sets, I think.
Here's another question for you all (not wanting to hijack this thread - maybe just add this info on to your reply if it applies) - do you have lots of non-SU stamps? I have quite a few Hero Arts stamps (including about 6 alphabet sets) - the Real Flowers, sentiments, leaves, birthday, etc. I also have some unmounted stamps - a few alphabets and some awesome sentiments and some really cute (and very reasonably priced) images from Eat Cake Graphics.
So, for those of you who are mostly SU stampers now, but have lots of other stamps - do you put your non-SU ones away? I have a couple of Iris carts with a bunch of Hero Arts stamps and I'm starting to put them in plastic containers to make room for more SU supplies in those drawers. I've even thought of buying our SU boxes to store them in, in categories. I feel like my other stamps are neglected... But I really don't want to get rid of them! And even though I'm a demo, I can always use them for my personal stuff, but it seems that I never get around to using them with my Stamp Camps to prepare for, samples to make, swaps to do, etc.
I have 25 SU! sets I have 350 TAC sets , 10 or so CTMH sets, and 25 Misc. sets. All mine are unmounted so they fit in a 3X 2 cd holder and one spinning cd holder BUT, I have 8- 3 drawer rollers full of acc: and 2 5 foot high 80 slot paper holders. I LOVE STAMPING!!!!!!
In HIm,
Shawna
I've been stamping just under a year and I have 37 SU sets - but, 9 of them were free w/ specials and hostess gifts, etc... I only have about 7 misc. non-SU stamps.
I just took the demo plunge, so I imagine that this number will skyrocket in 2005, as I plan to be my own best customer....

Katie Stedman, I almost fell out of my chair laughing. I know when my order comes in, I bubble audibly about all the free stuff. LOL
Okay, other question - I do have other stamps. I recently got some SU! plastic divider cases and moved small sets into them, and decided to organize my non-SU! sets into the cases I emptied. I put all the bunnies together, and the baseball themes, some flowers, etc. I don't use them a lot - but many of them are very spcialized, e.g., St. Patrick's Day (can't have enough of them!), Valentines from before I was too much into SU!, a few Christmas ones... I think I had three drawers that were sort of full of those stamps before I did this, now they just take up two small drawers.

I've been stamping for two years and a demo since May of 2004. I've got about 60 current sets and 8 or 9 retired sets. I'm pretty relaxed about ordering stamps, but I LOVE all of the accessories.
I just counted mine i couldn't believe it i got 34 sets and 3 more on the way my friend got me into it in Aug my hubby keeps saying how much money you put out in that i don't answer him lol

My husband doesn't ask questions...it might lead to questions about what he buys!! He's a volunteer for local sheriff, that means no pay....You have to have guns, radios, all leather stuff to hang on his belt with all the stuff in them, a custom built mount to hold his computer in the car, uniforms, jackets, a GPS mapping system for the computer, boots to wear for duty, ammunition, special lights and attachments for shooting at night, membership to the local target shooting place, fees to enter shooting contests, fees to go to shows, magazines, dinner out when they have training meetings, software for his PDA listing KS laws and stuff, special bag to carry all his stuff in, big special aluminum clipboard with multiple compartment heavy enough to bring down a horse if you hit it, bulletproof vest, summer dress hat, winter dress hat, casual hats, t-shirt, gifts for the boss, lots of travel on personal car, a special clip light to clip on the monster clipboard, batteries for the radios, programing fees for the radios, fees to FCC for radios, flashie lights and siren for car, higher insurance premimum because of lights and siren on car, a radio for MY car, special lightweight thermal undies, classes to become a better officer, discs to save all his documents, digital camera to carry so he can take pictures at crime scenes.....
Ummm.. I have about 35. More than I thought I had. I am not a demo but to be honest I got most of my stamps last year when I hosted a party during Sell-a-bration.. Nothing is as good as free!!!
I just did an inventory and created my own excel sheet to keep track... I have 276 sets (as of today), 21 Classy Brass, 10 jumbo wheels, 42 regular wheels. Then there are punches and accessories. I have all 4 sets of the new classic pads, and BB and SS craft pads + 104 other pads (and all of the reinkers for each one). Then I have Penny Black, Stampendous, Stamps Happen, etc., etc. I bought my first set in 2000 but really started collecting 2001/2002. My challenge for myself this year is to actually use each set!!

I have 107 sets and a couple backgrounds. Yikes! That is not including all the other loose single stamps I have in tubs just sitting around here. :? My first set was BUTTON BEAR (1997) and I have only been a demo for 13 months.
