I'm so glad to hear from those who have been stamping for about a year! I've been stamping for a 15 months and was beginning to feel embarrassed about the amount of product I've accumulated in that time! Now I just know I'm in good company!

I have all my stamps in a book so I can find them by drawer and I have 1335 individual stamps plus wheels but I do not know how many are SU because I don't keep them by sets. I get them mounted, toss the plastic container to the use for something pile and file them by image.

Hi!
I've been stamping for a long time, a SU demo for 10 years and I have kept all my stamps, current, retired and non-SU.

So here's my count, just please don't tell DH. He sees what I have, but I know he doesn't want to know how much I have.

Total Individual Stamps 6,383

SU Sets - 414
Single SU stamps - 114
SU Wheels - 47
Total of SU stamps by individual count - 3804

Please don't ask me to count all the accessories, papers and such that go along with all these stamps. LOL!!!

I think at last count I had like....

326 or 328ish both retired and current

I have a list but I haven't updated it in awhile. I may have more.

Ok...if I post my count can it be used in a court of law against me??!! Mmmmm....gulp....I have over 200 current and retired, I have a hard time parting with them so I dont really sell the retired ones. I have been a demo for 5 years. First set I bought was BUTTON BEAR! There is no way I would ever sell him! I have 60+ wheels also! Hmmmm...I know I still NEED more! I am hooked!
Happy stampin!

This thread is making me feel good about myself. I only have 59 stamp sets and 5 wheels. "Only" 59!
It made me feel a lot better when I counted that 10 were "sell-a-bration" sets, 2 were hostess, 13 were bought used on eBay, and a few more were free with my hostess $. Not so much of a money pit after all.

Wow! Great topic! My best friend keeps her sets at my house because I have more room, and together we have about 110 SU current and retired sets. Also have a couple TAC sets, and many individual stamps. We have been collecting for about 4 years. I accumulated most of my stuff the first two years and just add to it. My husband sees what I have, but he has no idea of its monetary value! He would kill me. I also have everything listed in Excel, to keep track of it better. I don't buy quite as much as I used to, and I only have a small stack that I am trying to get rid of due to unuse.

Red face Gulp!

Easily, I would have to say over 250 sets...some are duplicates...some will hopefully be sold after the new catalog comes out. I have been weeding out my wheels - probably only 20 wheels.

THANK GOD THIS IS A BUSINESS EXPENSE!

I have 55 current and 1 retired SU! set. I was a Scrapbooker to start and once introduced to SU! I knew right away I had to be a demo! I just signed up in September. I can't wait for the retired list and the summer mini.... I know they'll be a bunch more to grace my storage drawers

Someone else posted something about how many they had a few days ago, so I went and counted them. About 175. I had some packed for a show. That doesn't count the ones I'm trying to sell that are retired. I only keep the ones that I really like once they retire. I don't have the space. Now, Non-SU, I don't dare count those! If you look in my gallery, you can see how I have them stored. My mom made the mistake of trying to count them when we moved about 5 years ago. She said several hundred but I know there are more now.

Newbies, don't freak, I've stamping for almost 8 years and I've been a demo for 2.5!

Mo [And no, DH is not reading this, although - they are all on my bookshelf so I'm pretty sure he has a general idea!]

Wow!! I read these and am amazed. I think I have about 50 or so, but I do get rid of them as they retire. I do have a question though. For thoes of you out there with hundreds of sets and are not demonstrators, why?? I don't get it. I love being a demonstrator and it seems like if you love stamping that much you would want to get the discount and be a demonstrator? Just curious.

Lets see...170 SU, 20 some TAC, and an Iris Drawer full of misc single stamps. My best friend just signed with CTMH so those will be forthcoming...ugh...its good to catalog these for insurance purposes. Put a list in a safe place off site in case of disaster.

BTW..DH helped me catalog my sets and didn't blink an eye. Just said to make sure I stamped more.

Okay, but you must realize that I'm madly trying to buy up everything on my wishlist before I move back down-under again next year (to the dark side of the planet where there is no SU!!), so I have bought way more than I ever would have if I thought I would have access for any period of time ...

And the new catalog is coming out soon, and my wishlist will be even longer than ever - oh what to do!! Anyone want to take a trip to New Zealand on a regular basis to deliver my "stuff" after I go back??

That said, I have 26 wheels, and 188 sets of stamps - 72 retired and 117 current. Hopefully that will keep my little stamping hands busy for a while.

I've got about 210 SU sets, plus about 25 or so wheels. That's not counting the individual non-SU stamps that I have. Maybe another 50 or so of those.

Anybody interested in some retired stamp sets??

I have been a SU! demo since June 04 and before that I had never held a stamp in my hand!!! Since June I have went from 0 to 67 sets, 8 wheels, 3 Jumbo wheels!! (plus tons of accessories and all 48 colors of classic pads, c/s, & reinkers plus all the embossing powders, light box, etc and the best part is I have recovered my kit cost and not spent anything out of our family funds, plus made a little money... so when my hubby asks.. I can truthfully say it was all FREE!!! So he can't say a word LOL!!!

When I first tried stamping and became a SU demo 2 years ago, I dreamed of the day when I would have 50 sets. Surely that would be plenty, right? When I reached 50, I decided I HAD to have 100, then I would be set. When I had 100 sets, I figured that 150 sets would complete my collection. When I counted 150 sets in my cupboard, and my wishlist had about the same # of sets on it - I realized that my collection would never be complete until I had everything in the catalogue. But then, there's a new catalogue every year, isn't there? And minis every quarter?

If anyone has a cure for this insane addiction... I don't want it! I'm having a blast and at least SU is a good quality product that retains its' resale value (at least that's what I tell my dh!).

I've been stamping for about a year, and I have between 25-30 sets, plus some non-SU. DH thinks it's too many. He asked how I could possible remember what's in each set.

Maybe I should have him read this thread - then he'll realize I don't have near enough!

I have never counted until now. I have 37 sets...oops 41. (I keep my Christmas stuff in a separate area.) I have been stamping for almost 3 years. I am an active stamp trader and keep rotating my sets, so I am always moving things in and out to suit my ever-changing tastes. ;)

HAH! No such thing as a quick count. I did count though, as it had been awhile and I was curious.

Including retired, Christmas, and the ones on my table, I have 323 sets of SU! stamps, and a very small collection of "other" stamps.

Talking and million dollar answer...

I have about 300 TAC sets but now with the sneak peek sets and the sets that I will get at the TAC Seminar that will definitely grow! I also have about 30-40 SU sets left, and a number of Hero Arts and Penny Black stamps.

What can I say? I loooove STAMPS! (you have to say it an Austin Powers voice, hehehe)
