I very rarely make more than one of a design. If I do, say for Christmas, then I would use a production line style and do each stage, like stamping, colouring, tying bows and then assemble.
For my day to day kind of cards I make one at a time, for my Chirstmas cards though I made 5 of each kind so that I could get them done faster. If I am making card sets to give as gifts I use similar paper and images so everything matches but I don't use the same design for all of them.
If I make more than one such as the Christmas calendars in my gallery, I did
all the coloring for one month, then all the cutting of the card stock, gluing, etc. for each one at the same time. Then, moved to the next month and did the same. I usually don't make more than one of each card, though.

I make my cards in multiples of two, because I can get two cards from one piece of cs. The total depends on what kind of card I am making or other factors, such as how many of the embellishments or DSP I have available to use.
I usually only make one at a time except for holidays when I do multiples. But yesterday I made two identical (except for the sentiments) cards for the Featured Stamper challenge. I may try to do that more often now - it makes sense when everything is out on the table.

Always in batches of 6-10. I keep an assortment of them on hand to give as gifts and bring with me when we get an invitation to dinner, etc. It is especially nice at this time of year.
If I design a card that I really like, I'll make several of that design. I usually don't stamp the sentiment in it, though, until I need to send the card to someone. So many cards can be used for several different occasions and I don't want to limit the card's use by stamping 'Happy Birthday' if it's a card that could also be used for 'Get Well' or 'Thank You.'

My usual process is to make between 4-8 of each one. Depends on how much paper I have if it uses a patterned paper, or how many of an embellishment I have, etc. I do this mainly because I have people @ church who will ask me to bring my box of cards so they can buy some....so I like to have a good stash on hand for them to choose from!
I almost always make 4 of every card I make, I always make fronts, and mount them on white or vanilla, so I cut one sheet of cardstock in 4, and make 4 of the same - unless I don't like my creation - if I don't like it, I am not going to make more than one
Small batches up to production line. I find that if I don't make several at a time, I'm less likely to pull a card out to give someone. For Christmas, I definitely go to a production line after playing with several prototypes.
Depends on how much paper I have, lol. Unless I'm making something specific for a certain individual, I usually make a few cards at a time. I'll use the same paper and images, but all different layouts.
I am really just adding cardmaking to my scrapping and now it seems like I am always in need of cards. You ladies all make such gorgeous cards, that I was wondering how you manage to keep up with demand and stay sane?!?
Also the engineer in me has a hard time saying "well I will just do one, even though i get 2 cards out of a sheet of cardstock"!!
I design one card at a time, but then make 10 kits for our card club. After club day, if there are extra kits left, I assemble them for my stash. I have to design it first, as I might make a change to better the idea. One of these days I will stop being a lurker and post some of them. LOL My secret to staying ahead of the game is to do the next month's cards early and then all I have to do is pop them into the mailbox. I have had to do a quick grab from my stash a few times when I wasn't prepared. I leave the insides of my cards blank so as I ready them for the mailbox, I can then personalize them for the individual. Hope my suggestions help someone...if all else fails order a Belated stamp. LOL

Normally at least 2 at a time since one sheet will make 2. Often I make 4 or other multiples of 4 so that I have extras on hand and seems to go quicker the more you make...assesmbly line style. Only if I'm making a special or last minute card will I make just one.
I make one card style at a time. I mostly make cards for my family and friends birthdays so the cards are either the colors the person likes or the theme of the party for my nephews and nieces.
I have time to do more but for some reason never have any extras on hand or have even a quick thinking of you card. I guess that will be my New Years Resolution!
I generally make a minimum of 24 of each that I make. I keep what I want but then there is the soldier box, the two swim teams I donate to for fund raisers, Church bookstore and the church card ministry. So I always have somewhere to put them besides my own little stash. I am used to making a lot at once so it is just the norm for me now.
Blessings.
usually one at a time because i have NO idea where the card is going when i first sit down, i only "find my way" as i'm doing stuff on the fly (stamps/colours/layout) etc, so it's pretty much impossible to duplicate something that's made in that way.. but it's the only way i know.

I design for: Stampendous!, There She Goes, Technique Tuesday,
SRM Stickers and Deconstructed Sketches.
Christmas is really the only time I make more than one of the same card. I really like creating new cards and I find I always have enough so I don't need the extra's that duplicates give.

I usually make one at a time. Unless I'm making a gift set then I'll make several (4-5 of one design). When I make Christmas cards, I set up a production line and everyone in the family does something - I always do the stamping.
I've gotten into the habit of making 4 or 8 of each card I design that are more generic like "thank you" or "thinking of you" etc. Birthday cards are one of a kind though for my family and friends. I am planning to keep a stash of more generic birthday cards around for both adults and kids so that I can grab and go.
I made 20 each of 3 different designs for my Christmas cards.
it just depends on why i'm creating. if i'm just working on a challenge card, or a card to specifically send to someone, I'll just make 1.
if i'm doing a swap, christmas cards, designing for a class, or a gift set - i make the number required by the event. i always make up class leftovers and toss them in my card stash.
Like a lot of people who have answered before me......
Depends on what I'm making!
When making birthday cards, usually two - one for the recipient and one for me! When doing challenges, usually four....just to have cards on hand (building up my stash).
Now Christmas is a whole other story. I usually pick one stamp set for the kids and one stamp set that's a little more grown up.
This year I made:
10 little kids cards from the kids stamp set
37 cards - all the same style - for cousins/aunts/friends
15 cards - all the same syyle/different colors from above - for sisters/brothers/older nieces/nephews
10 cards - simpler than above cards for the 'tween' nieces/nephews
(these 62 cards all used the same stamp set)
I still have to make three more cards - Mother, MIL, Dad
Christmas cards get done assembly line, I do all the cutting and stamping/embossing and DH does the actual assembly of the cards (he is much more **** than I am - so all layers are centered perfectly!).
I am just about done addressing all the cards - will finish that up tonight and mail first thing in the morning! YYYIIPPPPEEEEE.....
I usually make one, but sometimes decide a card is good enough to make more...but only if it's quick and easy, too. I have stampin' attention deficit disorder, or SADD, and get annoyed really fast making duplicates of a complicated card. At most, I'll make 8 of a simple design.
I make one of kind B-day etc. Production line 20 cards each design Christmas.
BUT I am re-thinking the one of a kind cards, because I find I am always
rushing at the last minute to "come up' with a B-day etc card etc.
My news year resolution is to get a stockpile of cards made when I'm feeling creative, so that when I'm not feeling too creative (alot lately) I don't have the pressure of forcing myself to make a card.
Last nite I was "creative and made 2 of the same Bday card for 2 of my friends (they will never see the other person's card anyway)

I always do increments of 4. I've always been a "front and mount" type gal, I prefer the white base rather than color, b/c I send to a lot of older people and they can read on the white better than some colors, kwim? So, since I get 4 fronts, rather that two bases from 1 CS, I always work in increments of 4. But as an average, it's usually around 12 or so, b/c I'm also addicted to OSW, LOL
As for challenges, last minute cards, etc. I made two of each, usually.
