The only card I ever receive is from the friend who got me into stamping. Nobody else on my radar bothers - sad commentary on exactly how "cyber" our society has become, isn't it?
Three. My friends are getting older and no longer send out photo cards of their kids. I enjoy making cards, so I still send the same volume as ever, whether there is reciprocation or not.
One so far. I have noticed that IF I don't send cards first I don't get any in return. AND so far I have not sent any out.

I've only gotten one, but the mail hasn't come yet today. HaHa I cut down my list somewhat this year because (as Sue mentioned) lots of my younger generation just uses FB. I decided I could say Merry Christmas to them on FB for free, and save on postage. I'd rather make cards for nursing homes and church ministries. I might be retired, but I also can choose how I spend my limited money and time.

Three. I haven't sent mine yet. In fact, I took off the from work today to make my cards. I always seem to have to take a day off to get them done, and I only make about 20!
Christmas music is on, fireplace is on, and I'm sipping a latte! Ahhhhhh!

5 so far, 4 from SCS friends , and one from the UK. Since it's not the last posting date for the US till tomorrow, cards from me won't even have started to arrive yet! I did post most of them yesterday, but I have a few birthday cards I don't want to arrive TOO early, so they won't go till tomorrow. And they'll still be early, sigh...

How are you doing Mary Rose? I followed your blog since Sam was in kindergarten. I never did post a picture of my front porch when you had a post about porches.
Here's one! That's the mighty Mississippi out there! Sorry I can't get so it's viewed vertically!

None for me yet.....Kinda makes me sad. I still haven't sent all mine out yet, but I've hand-delivered and mailed quite a few.....People just don't send them like they used to.:(

I will tell you now that I send many more than I get. Christmas is my favorite time to make cards and I cannot keep them all! So people get them whether they send or not! LOL
The only card I ever receive is from the friend who got me into stamping. Nobody else on my radar bothers - sad commentary on exactly how "cyber" our society has become, isn't it?
I have sent mine out (on December 1st) but I haven't received any back yet. Which is kind of sad, but I don't make cards to get cards. I sometimes wonder if it's intimidation as the receiver might feel their store bought card wouldn't compare to a handmade one. Which I find totally ridiculous because I get a thrill when I open the mailbox and find anything that doesn't have a bill attached.
A lot of people only send out when they receive one. My MIL used to fret because she was always mailing about 100 a year. One year I told her to hold off and only send to people who sent her one. She was thrilled when her list dropped dramatically! She was on a fixed income so stamps were an added expense. I miss her....now I've done it. Made myself cry
Mail went. Just one today. But I imagine I will have some in the church mailbox on Sunday. I love that we can put cards in there. Saves postage and I can do more!!
I have received 3 so far and I sent out about 25. I think of my handmade cards as a gift and the christmas letter I write up each year as their punishment, lol. I don't care that people don't send. My list is of people that I do care about and want to do this for each year. I know that people do appreciate the homemade cards from me and look forward to them so I try and make sure they are well done.
I haven't received any yet and I haven't sent mine yet either. I usually only get about 3 or 4, so I'm not expecting them for another week to 10 days. Hopefully I'll get mine out this weekend... I only make 10 to send out by mail and another 30 this year that I'll hand deliver (fellow workers).
Ten so far (but three from friends and seven from places I go to to teach, I must be on their mailing list lol). I love making mine and don't worry if I don't get any back, its all about the fun of making them for me.
BUT I do hate how people(not friends but close relatives) are under the disillusion that its okay to just use facebook or bulk text messages to send wishes for Christmas birthdays etc. I think it is so impersonal that well, they may as well just not bother, as to make so little effort. A card, a letter, a phone call letting someone know they care.
But then thats just my feeling on the matter.
Two so far, one from a friend and one from a company I do business with (a business Christmas card). But I know I have another coming. And, I haven't sent any out yet. I'm so behind!! And I also send out the same amount regardless of how few send cards to me. But if all I get is three cards I won't mind at all...even if I got none I wouldn't mind.
I've gotten 5 so far- 3 from SCS friends, 1 a neighbor, and 1 the realtor who I used when I bought my house (I'll never be off her mailing list..lol). I haven't sent mine yet but will be working on that in the next few days. I only send about 30..they're all different..I usually make them for the challenges during the fall months.
Sent 25 but so far have only gotten 3. Oh well I love to send them anyway. Last year I sent out 30 and got 10. I don't care how much stamps cost. it is still a cheap way to connect with people and let them know you care. FB happy holidays are thoughtless to me.
I've gotten 7, 1 even came before Thanksgiving! I haven't sent mine yet, just printed the Christmas letter and have to make some envelopes for the odd-sized cards I made. Hopefully they will go out this weekend and I can put the lights and ornaments on my naked tree. So far behind this year; we spent 5 days at Thanksgiving visiting DD & SIL and that put me even further behind.

Reason: hit enter before finished
ZIP. But I know that I should be getting a few soon. I'm making a bunch that need to go out this week.
Mine are simple. I'm not really doing much stamping except for the Merry Christmas on a banner across a Spellbinder's cut out Holly Wreath. A little ribbon and was la. I fell in love with it at the scrapbook expo. I bought it and that's the card that I'm sending to everyone this year. I made one at the make and take and knew that was the card I was sending this year.
Three specifically to me and my family and we were added on to 2 my mother received. I wouldn't mind but I send out separately from my mother (she lives with us) so I'm just like "really? it's just $0.49"... and then I don't worry about it any more  Life is too short. I will send whether I receive a card back as I know there will come a time when I am not able to so.
None! I get less and less each year. I usually get a couple from other cardmakers. Mostly, I will get a: "Have a great Christmas" post on my Facebook wall (which goes to all the other friends that the person has) which I find rather impersonal. If the post was just for me, I wouldn't mind though.
When my family member was sick in 2012 and in hospital going through a difficult treatment, we had a ton of Christmas cards that year - even from distant relatives who had been told about our loved one's illness. The next year was a different story and it was like we had been forgotten because treatment was over and maybe they assumed life had returned to normal  Made me kind of sad but apparently in talking to alot of people in similar circumstances, that happens alot. Other people move on emotionally not realising you are still dealing with day-to-day medical issues and appointments. Made me realise how much other people need ongoing support and that they need to know that you still care and are thinking of them.
Seriously, the "Have a great Christmas" FB post is ok for general friends - those people you went to school/met through life and don't have a close relationship but keep up with them. Closer than that deserve a bit more attention.
I truly had not given the number of cards received any thought. I enjoy making and sending them so much, it hadn't occurred to me. Guess it is better to give than to receive!
Handmade, I'll send about 10. Store bought, we'll send about 40. I'll probably get a card back from everyone I make a card for. I need to get mine made and mailed! Of the ones we send out that are store bought, probably close to that amount back, in the 30's.
We've received 4 so far. I already have 2 from people I give handmade cards to also.
