I have all of the h2o's, but don't know how to store them. I have them sitting in a mini flip top sterilite tote which works....but it is a pain to find a specific color. I have to dump them all out and turn them over so I can see the names. It really deters me from using them that often because I don't want to go through all of that trouble. I then tried to store them in one of those floss organizer box, but I didn't like that either. Is there any other way that would be easier to find what I want?
I store mine in one of SU jumbo stamp cases. I store them upside down so the color is facing up. Works like a charm. With all the colors you will probably need 2 jumbo cases. HTH

Live in the moment and make it so beautiful it's worth remembering.
I store mine in the large SU cases. They fit perfectally, and you can even have the lighter 'pastel' like ones in one, and the darker more bold colors in another case.
I don't have all the colors and i have the mini ones but i store mine in one of the document boxes that Target had in their dollar spot. I leave the lids off that way i can see the colors. I just make sure they dry before i close them up. Works great and makes it easy to transport if i need to take them somewhere
That's a great question. I have all or most of the colors and still haven't come up with the best way to store them. Currently half of them are in a low old tupperware container. This seems to work well. The other half in a box until I can round up another low/long tupperware container.
Make that 3 in the club... I don't own any either.

I don't own any yet (pretty new stamper) but went to a convention and one of the demos there puts all of hers lined up on a cookie sheet and puts the whole sheet in a drawer. She even leaves the lids off! Says she throws the lids away.
Gosh that is a good question - right now mine are in a ziplock but now I will look for a better way! I have some empty su cases I will try that ..... maybe the alpha ones if I have an extra!

I got some last September at a local Rubber Stamp Convention, and then FORGOT I had them until about a month ago. DUH! Then I did pull them out and painted a little with them, but it wasn't until they dried that I could see why they were so special.
The paint twinkles!

I have about 3 or 4 sets and am about to get a few more so those tips really help! Right now they are thrown in a silver chrome basket but definitely not good for digging through when looking for colors. Tupperware containers might do but I do think the SU cases would be even better. HOw do you get the extra SU plastic cases?
By the way for those who aren't familiar with Twinkling H2O's, they are much like Radiant Pearls, but they are caked (dry) til you spritz with water and they become creamy and just perfect to paint with. RP's don't dry on certain surfaces while Twinkling H2Os can be used with just about anything even Easter Eggs. I wish I remembered my H2Os while we were dying eggs!

I raided my husband's fishing equipment. 2 Plano tackle boxes. They are clear plastic, come in many sizes. I used two of the 8.25 x 14" (1 1/2" deep). I put them in upside down, so I can see the names. I like them in single layers, so I can see all the pretty colors.
You can change the compartments in the box. I left them in 4 long rows, and have them sorted in the original color groups. (easier to find coordinating colors). I have all the colors (not bragging, just happy). The ones I got originally are larger. I really prefer the small size. You can order each individual color, if you run out. I e-mailed the company to ask that question.
I really love using them with the aquapainter. So easy, and quick. Try looking in a tackle store, or K-Mart, Wal-Mart. You can find lots of useful containers and totes. They are usually less expensive than other solutions.

Those things are Great!!! When I get non-SU! eyelets and brads at stamping stores, they typically come in little baggies. I found those plastic things in a sporting goods store one time when DH dragged me in to look at camping stuff. LOL They sure are cheaper than the storage bins I saw in the stamping stores!

I have one that I used to put those mini cropper hopper boxes in they fit perfectly and it was only like $2.78 or something like that (less than 3 bucks) as compared to the cropper hopper embellishement box that is $12.99 at hobby lobby.....you can not beat that AND I like it better!! I may just have to get another one for the h2o's if I dont like the su boxes idea!
OH they had one of those tackle boxes that was larger as well so if the small one did not fit everything you could go larger!

I cut up a white sticky label into v. small squares and painted with each color and stuck it on the lids so that I can tell what each color is/comes out like without opening it. I have mine in an old chocolate tin - unfortunately I have so many mini twinklers that I am now stacking 2 high, However with the stickers on the lids it is fairly easy to sort through to find the color you want.
I did something similar to Liz, I painted a brush stroke of the color by the name on the bottom. Sometimes the color looks a little different than the jar.
You can use the lids for checkers...

They are now being made with clear lids so they the new ones don't need to be stored upside down!!! I have a bunch with black lids and I painted the color on a punched CS star and glued it to the lid and wrote the name of the color in silver sharpie. I store mine in one of those Target Dollar Spot plastic document boxes that someone mentioned earlier. They fit perfectly!
I have mine in the SU large boxes as well. I've also put little circle stickers (like the kind you would use in a garage sale for prices) on the ones that match up to the 48 SU colors (from that chart I found here somewhere) and labeled them like that. Then I have 2 color families per box (2 boxes).
I also use a Target document box to store my minis. I wasn't able to attach pictures (that function isn't working for me, not sure why) but here are links:
You can store them sideways on a shelf (see first picture) and you can see all the colors at one time. I originally put small cardboard dividers to separate blues from pinks, etc., but then I realized that once they're arranged by color they pretty much stay that way without a divider. (And after THAT I stopped arranging the colors at all because it simply wasn't necessary or helpful!)
I store mine in the SU! channel boxes for alphabet sets. I plan to print out the names on typing paper, use a circle punch to cut out, then run through the laminating & sticky Xyron cartridges (I did this with my Pearl Ex) to make lables for the black tops.

Brilliant! Thanks for the idea. I had one of those doing nothing and my h20s fit in there perfectly. You are a genius!
I can now see which colours I have perfectly as well.
I just got my first two sets of Twinkling H2Os, and I LOVE them! I'm a SU demo, so I didn't want to waste my money on something I couldn't sell, but I got them anyway for personal use in the hopes that someday Stampin' Up! will wake up and sell these! They work great with the Aquapainter. You can color in a line image or you can ink up a bold stamp like you would with a marker, and then stamp it. It's a rich color look with a hint of sparkle, something like painting with Pearl Ex and Lumiere (I think, although I've still never tried that), except it's waterbased, so you can make it as rich or as soft as you'd like. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone. They are alot of fun to play with! Oh, and I've stored them upside down in a SU stamp case.
[QUOTE=spammie]I also use a Target document box to store my minis...QUOTE]
That's exactly how I store mine - although now my document box is COMPLETELY FULL so I guess that means no more for me. lol.
A friend of mine went to a scrapbook convention last month and brought me back a color sheet from the manufacturer, with blank squares labeled with each color name. I took the time...[not one of my stronger points] to actually put a swish (?) of each color on the sheet in the box by its name, and it's been a HUGE help to me figuring out which colors to use. In fact, I actually made two "swishes" - one full-strength and one a lighter, pastel (watered down) version (it's surprising the difference in tones that you can get). And now I keep the chart in the document case with them for easy reference.
AND THEY ARE WONDERFUL!!!!!

Which colors do you have? If I'm going to purchase these, I would like to get the colors that would be complimentary with SU palette.
