Default How do you stick down ribbons/fibers?

What's the best way to stick down ribbons or fibers to your projects? I thought about just wrapping it all the way around the back and tying it on the front, but after you do a bunch of cards, you will have wasted a lot of ribbon. Does SU! have anything good??

Talking XRyon Machine

Smaller ribbons and fibers i use my XRyon sticker machine. I also use a whole puncher to pull fibers through to hold work in place.

Lightbulb Ribbon and Fiber?

I sometimes use Staples to tack my ribbon and fiber down with.
Eyelets. I run all fiber or ribbon thru and then I tie off with another small piece of string. One that matches.

Sometime I pull the ribbon or fiber thru the eyelet and tie it off on the other side of the card.
So it looks like it just hanging there.

Default Adhering fibers, ribbon, etc.

I love glue dots for bows and fibers! Mono works well for ribbon.

Another vote for the mini glue dots. Although I sometimes punch two small slits and then tuck the ribbon through and just tack them on the underside. Or I will put a glue dot and then paper clip the ribbon on. I've seen creative things like staples used as well. A cool effect on the right card!

Default Holding ribbon fast

Cut the ribbon the length you require..allowing for bows etc.
Cut your ribbon in half and only tape about an inch behind the cardstock using glue dots or double sided tape.
Then all you have to do is tie your bow at the front, wrap it so that you can place a greeting in the centre of the card and you have equal ribbon both sides.
Dead easy

SU mini glue dots or Scotch double stick tape. Those are the only things I use 99% of the time. If I can't use them, the other 1% of the time, I will use my Zig two-way pen. But you have to hold that down until it sticks and sometimes it makes a spot in the ribbon which I don't like.

I think I'll have to try glue dots after all of the postive reviews! I use to use liquid glue, but I thought that was too messy and didn't stick well. I also tried hot glue, and sometimes you can see a bump on the cardstock. I've started just using Scotch tape when I wrap ribbon around, and it works great with no mess!
