Default HOW DO YOU SEND YOUR CARDS

via post especially if the card has paper roses or scrunched flowers that are bulky? I've seen a lot of cards that have scrunched flowers and bulky embellies and I'm wondering if they use special envelopes for it to be sent via snail mail/post.

any suggestions, pls?

TIA!

I always send my cards in bubble envies sandwiched between 2 pieces of light weight card board. I figure that it takes me hours to make a card so it's worth the extra postage to make sure that it gets there in one piece and still looking nice

I cut up old cereal and cracker boxes to slightly smaller then my envelope sizes and i insert them (chipboard side not inked pattern of cereal side) between the lumpy side of the card and the envelope.

the PO machines smoosh things so if you have the printed side of the chipboard against the top of the card that ink could transfer.

this will make it cost more to mail but protects the card a little better.

I mail lots of cards to friends and family, and try to keep those embellishments reasonable, like flowers with a brad, or flat ribbon bows or small buttons. I usually put an extra piece of cardstock in, and don't usually even have to pay extra postage.

For anything really elaborate with puffy flowers or fancy bows, I save those cards to hand deliver.

I know right????

I tend to make two kinds of cards
1. mailable (pretty flat)
2. give-able - like for someone I will be physically seeing

I really don't send any that have much 3-d or bulky on them.

I put the card in one of those clear card boxes and then mail it in a bubble envie.

I use bubble oversized envelopes most of the time. Sometimes I make flat cards- but not very often. I don't mind paying the extra postage.

My bulky ones have an extra piece of cardstock over the embellishments...I just add the additional .17 and send them on their way. Sometimes I put them in clear envelopes and send them. So far so good.
blessings.

Me too, but if I have a slightly lumpy card to mail, I will just fold the card inside out and mail it that way - I'm too lazy to cut extra cardboard to include inside the envelope for protection.
