I don't know if there is a secret. All of my bows look like that and I just tie them like you would a normal bow (like for shoelaces or a present) and it usually lays pretty flat. Maybe it is the type of ribbon or maybe it is because when people lay them on their scanner they are flattened out and look flatter than normal or they could use a couple of glue dots to get it to lay flat... But most of mine are pretty flat to the card even out of the scanner. HTH
I can't access it either! Is it from the demo forum?

Hmmm . . . I didn't read that other thread yet, but I sometimes tie them upside down - like turn the card upside down to make the bow . . . . my mom used to make me face backwards to tie the bows on the back of my dresses, so I guess it's the same principle?
Basically, what Kittie747 says is to wrap one ribbon around the card and glue it down. Then take another piece of ribbon and tie it around the first and make the bow. Hmmm..... I will try that because mine usually look like a mess.
The trick to a really nice, flat bow is to adjust the ribbon some before you pull the individual sides of the bow tight. You need to be sure the ribbon that is looped around doesn't get twisted or turned backward. I don't pull the sides tight until I have adjusted everything around the knott. When everything is layingg flat, I slowly pull the sides little by little and adjust as necessary until I get it just right. I hope this makes some sense.
My bows turn out great when I tie them on the bolt of ribbon before I cut. Adjust the loops first and then cut. You tie them just like tying your shoes. Also you never have any wasted ribbon.

I went to a website called www.TheCardLadies.com and bought the "Bow Maker". I tried the tutorials, but couldn't tie a nice bow to save my life. Worked like a charm, ON MY FIRST BOW. Here is a card I used it on. Thank You
